A new feature has been added to . analog 3DUsers can finally create save states for their games. Analogue 3D is a retro gaming system that allows users to play existing N64 cartridges in 4K. Not only is the system compatible with existing cartridges, it can also work with the original controller as well as N64 peripherals such as the Rumble Pak and Controller Pak.
Analogue 3D was delayed several times, but was finally released in 2025. Reaction to the system, like many of the company's other products, has been largely positive. However, Analogue has taken some time to deliver some of the features that were first announced, and fans are waiting for the best N64 experience possible.

Analog 3D finally brings save states
Updating your system software to 3DOS v1.3.0 now unlocks the memory feature on analog 3D systems. This feature has two main benefits: Users can now save their in-game progress at any time, preserving save data that would otherwise be lost when the cartridge's built-in battery dies. For older games, this is a very real problem because batteries are built to last too long. If you have data that really means a lot to your players, you can now preserve that data in the system.
