It's been over a decade since we haven't had a new Transformers experience, and that doesn't include the delisted Transformers: Battlegrounds, and there's nothing more Transformers fans want to hear than rumors about a new title.
Because while there's no shortage of toys, collectibles, or comics when it comes to the franchise, what it lacks is new video games, especially after Reactivate was unceremoniously canceled.
Well, it looks like hope is back on the menu.
As first discovered on Reddit via YouTube content creator RoboGamerHD, a new Transformers game is reportedly in development and “secret” invitations are being sent out for players to test it out. Pre-registration is scheduled for July 2026, so full release appears imminent.
And if that wasn't enough hope, the game will focus on G1.

Tribute Games' Frederic Gemus shares how Cosmic Invasion came about, the challenges of building such a large roster, and its potential future.
Given that we're quickly approaching Summer Game Fest territory, things could be revealed soon. At the same time, it's best to treat everything with a huge amount of salt.
Transformers fans were waiting for something
What's interesting is that almost two years ago it was rumored that Microsoft was working on not one, but two Transformers titles. At the time, Reactivate had already been announced, giving fans expectations that various projects would be released.
Reactivate was canceled and the only titles rumored were spinoffs like Vampire Survivors.
Fast forward to now and we're no closer to a new Transformers title than we were two years ago. In fact, Transformers fans learned a year ago that another title featuring a hybrid style of G1 and Michael Bay's live-action films had been cancelled.
In the meantime, nostalgia for the classic War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron titles has yet to leave gamers' minds. The game appears to be more popular than ever, thanks to a fan-run backwards compatibility wishlist website (one that Xbox itself has directed fans to).
In fact, six of the top 10 games on the wishlist are all Transformers titles, and gamers have high hopes that Microsoft's ownership of Activision will allow those games to resurface, or at least be added to the Backwards Compatible program.
The Cybertron title as well as Devastation, Dark of the Moon, Revenge of the Fallen and the first movie tie-in game all made the top ten, showing just how many gamers want something to do with the franchise. It remains to be seen whether their wish will come true after these rumors.
