LiberNovo launches Maxis series chairs for large and tall frames

LiberNovo After Surprisingly Successful Kickstarter Campaign The Omni series office chairs were launched and received favorable reviews. Omni won Red Dot's Product Design Award 2026 and the iF Design Award 2026, and, surprisingly, received GREENGUARD Gold certification. Now, the company that many have likened to “Herman Miller at half the price” is moving deeper into the field with LiberNovo Maxis.

Designed with larger and taller users in mind, Maxis boasts a cozy 52cm extra-wide seat specifically tailored to accommodate broad shoulders and heavy backrests, providing ample support for people from 5'10″ up to 6'7″ tall. As a wide and tall person myself, I can woefully report that some office chair manufacturers claim to fit my frame well, but end up with little more than high-end regular models. The armrests are still shorter and the headrest lacks the range of motion for its size.

LiberNovo's Maxis aims to support a wide range of tall users.

LiberNovo's Maxis series aims to solve these common challenges while maintaining the company's relatively competitive price point. The flared base is designed to relieve hip pressure, and the armrest curve is just enough to prevent awkward angles that put extra pressure on the midsection. The U-shaped headrest provides solid coverage.

The convertible 5-stage rear frame supports a wingspan of up to 430mm and a waist width of an even more impressive 520mm. LiberNovo also calls the seat design “ultra-deep,” and from what I’ve seen, I’d say that’s a fair and comfortable assessment. The LiberNovo Maxis was created with a holistic view on how to be the most comfortable chair on the market for larger individuals. The goal here is just full coverage with all the parts coming together to promote circulation and keep you comfortable all day at your desk.

Your legs won't hang awkwardly like they have in my experience with more than a few office chairs. The Maxis series provides appropriate thigh support to prevent odd angles. Some of these can easily start off as minor inconveniences when you purchase a new chair, but over time you realize that the inconveniences are a bigger problem than you expected. It is best to buy products with special out-of-the-box comfort so that we never reach the pivot point where we feel we have been compromising on quality.

Speaking of which, a six-level support system enhances the Maxis' reclining mechanism, allowing you to very smoothly adjust the chair's reclining range. No need to sit back and take a bumpy ride while you find the right angle for your day. And an aluminum alloy base forms the entire structure, giving every piece a premium quality look and feel. Electric lumbar support and electric massage mode top it all off perfectly.

The Maxis series offers a wide range of products at reasonable prices.

There are three versions of the LiberNovo Maxis to look at: manual, electric and airflow. All three certainly look great. However, the manual lacks the electric spine massage feature found in the others, and only the Airflow goes the extra mile with seat ventilation fans. Otherwise they are virtually identical (electric models are listed as Graphite, compared to Graphite or Glacier options on other models).

And Maxis isn't the only new gaming chair coming out next month. In fact, LiberNovo is back with its famous Omni line with the launch of two new models: Omni Pro and Omni SE. With these two additions to the flagship Omni line, LiberNovo is upping the ante with a five-position reclining backrest, increased adjustment range, sturdier overall design, better height range, wider tilt range, and more. The Omni Pro in particular is a true bells and whistles upgrade, with features like a die-cast aluminum base and truly luxurious Gabriel Atlantic fabric, as well as Maxis Airflow's ventilation system.

The LiberNovo Maxis series will be released in June 2026. From May 12th through the June 16th release date, the company is taking preorders, and paying a $10 deposit will get you an extended warranty and a $30 discount. Additional “early bird” offers may apply and this could significantly lower the price of your new Maxis, so get your perfect gaming chair before the sale ends!
