“What we're thinking about is creating the greatest piece of entertainment on the planet in history. It's a pretty difficult challenge. If we do that and serve our customers, the positive aspects will take care of themselves,” Zelnick said.
As consoles become more advanced, development times take longer, especially for AAA games. As a result, it's becoming less and less common for games to take years to be released.
