Life is Strange: Double Exposure It follows the other games in the series by asking you to solve a few puzzles to get the information you need to solve a bigger mystery. One of these puzzles involves unlocking Vinh's phone to see what he's hiding.
Max is tasked with finding out who murdered Safi. Life is Strange: Double ExposureVinh is one of her main suspects in Chapter 2. This is mainly because he acts very suspiciously around her phone, and as a result, she has to find the password to unlock it and find out his secrets.

Before exploring the world of Life is Strange, players should be aware of several unwritten rules regarding choices and exploration options.
How to unlock Vinh's phone
The first step in this mission is to talk to Vinh on the quad while you are in the living world. This dialogue is available after leaving the bar at the beginning of the chapter. He lost his phone and suspects Diamond stole it. Talk to Diamond and eavesdrop on a nearby Abraxas member to find out that she likely didn't, and Vinh will tell you that you can find him in his office later.
You won't be able to find him in his office right away, so complete the remaining two missions in the art gallery. Once you're done, you can find Vinh back in his office in the Living World. He has found his phone but is being very secretive about it. He says he can't remember the password because he's too hungover, but he knows it has something to do with the day a certain magic scientist died.
Max thankfully knows another Vinh she can talk to and will tell you that this is her signal to use her dimensional powers to transition to the Dead World. When you return to Vinh's office in the Dead World, you'll find him sitting on the couch drinking too early. While talking to him, you can either use the favor he owes you to get his password, or find out which magician-scientist he was talking about in the living world.
He will give you the name of magician Jack Parsons. Here you need to find a book in the library that tells you exactly what year he died. The books are on the shelf right next to the fireplace, to the left as you enter the library. If you're not sure where the library is, that's where Gwen helped her get the book out of the locked bookshelf.
Now that you have the code, return to the Living World and return to Vinh's office. That person won't be there. But his phone will be on the desk. Use the password to open the door and find out what secret he is hiding. Max will then be one step closer to solving the mystery of who killed Safi. Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
