New job posting hints at GTA 6 marketing launch

A new Rockstar Games job listing for a temporary production artist has been spotted on LinkedIn, suggesting that marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6 is already underway.

We've known for a while that Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive were planning to begin marketing GTA 6 in earnest at some point this summer. Now that it's May and that vague timeline is getting closer and closer, everyone is waiting for any kind of update before GTA 6 (hopefully) releases later in the year.

Now that GTA 6's marketing has been confirmed to begin in the summer, it's pretty clear that Rockstar and Take-Two are already undoubtedly planning a massive advertising plan for the game. It looks like they may be in the final stages, as a new job listing is asking for temporary support for a “global campaign.”

Rockstar Jobs Hints About GTA 6 Marketing Plan

The list doesn't mention GTA 6 by name, but what other games are coming?

As pointed out by Twitter user project_vice and originally reported by Portal Viciados, a new job listing for a temporary production artist for Rockstar Games' New York branch was recently shared by the studio on LinkedIn. The listing states that this role is “critical to realizing our creative vision across a wide range of global campaigns.”

It's already notable that Rockstar is hiring for the position as the release of GTA 6 approaches, but the responsibilities of the role are where things get interesting. Production artists will be responsible for creating “creative assets” across a variety of formats, from digital advertising, social media content and even print production through “packaging, retail and promotional materials.”

The production artist role may be temporary, but it looks like work will be progressing little by little, as the responsibilities mention supporting 'live service publishing needs', including ongoing updates and 'removing time-sensitive content'.

Considering the role is temporary, it suggests Rockstar Games will need a little more help to get started before GTA 6's marketing gets into full swing. This means that the work mentioned above, as well as everything else in the job posting, has already begun to some extent, with marketing planned to begin this summer.
