After months of no roster announcement, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the upcoming tag fighter developed by Arc System Works in collaboration with PlayStation, has opened the floodgates in recent weeks, confirming more and more characters for its 20-character roster for release date.

As revealed in a new trailer from EVO Japan 2026 in Tokyo, Bruce Banner's iteration of the Hulk and Black Panther's Shuri will round out Team Fighting Avengers alongside the previously announced Iron Man and Captain America.
“This newly formed team of Avengers, led by Captain America, come together to take on a new threat to Earth,” the PlayStation blog reads. “As people around the world watch our heroes closely and show great respect, we look forward to seeing how they take on the challenge in episodic mode.”
This iteration of the Hulk has dinosaur bone-based armor because SHIELD and the government exiled him to the Savage Land. “There, Hulk lives a quiet life surrounded by nature and animals, but his distrust of the Avengers has not yet disappeared.”
In the case of Black Panther, Shuri has only recently become the ruler of Wakanda, and her combat focuses on movement and range.

The roster for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is slowly filling out.
Before the Hulk and Black Panther were revealed, Ms. It was Peni Parker who rose to prominence as a member of Team Amazing Guardians, a group led by Spider-Man along with Marvel and Star Lord.
And before Peni Parker, it was the X-Men who got the win that helped further fill out the roster. In Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Wolverine, Magik, and Danger join forces with Storm to form the Unbreakable X-Men team.

As leaked before all of these announcements, Fighting Souls will be adding an additional four characters via the Year 1 Character Pass, bringing the total to 24.
We'll likely learn more soon, with the game scheduled for release in early August.
