As part of the patch notes for the April 28 update, Bungie admitted that the shotgun's damage had been nerfed too hard, and that its damage reduction and effectiveness against the AI had reverted to pre-nerf levels.

Another major talking point is the potential for grenade spam. marathon Game director Joe Ziegler admitted this was a big talking point for the studio's developers. As expected, Bungie stated that this level of damage was unintentional and a fix is currently in the works. Bungie wants the guns to feel strong and powerful, especially with attachments at these levels, but the weapons can't take down runners at those levels, making them frustrating to play against.
