Sekiro fan turns Soulslike into Tony Hawk game

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice turns FromSoftware's Soulslike genre on its head. Instead of the traditional slow and deliberate fighting style, the emphasis is on parrying with speed and timing. The grappling hook revolutionized the movement and movement of genres. It was pretty cool when it came out, but was it radical enough?

One modder certainly didn't think so. To make Sekiro even cooler, they decided to turn it into a skateboarding game. Jet Set Sekiro adds Jet Set Radio's skateboarding moves, tricks, and general antics to the game. Now I want to see Isshin try to catch up with Wolf.

Why do you need a grapple hook when you can skateboard in Sekiro?

As PC Gamer discovered, it's not just flips and tricks you can perform, Jet Set Sekiro also tasks you with tagging areas of the Fountainhead Palace. These are separate levels with special objectives. Collect spray cans and tag all designated locations before the timer expires. It's a nice break from the frantic parrying and slashing.

It includes skateboards, but it's still Sekiro, so enemies are expected to appear. If you want to deal more damage, you can skate to attack them and perform tricks when they are close. Some of them will drop spray cans that can be used to tag their location. You also need to be careful when skating because you can faceplant if you lose your balance or jump at the wrong moment.

Sekirono no defeat anime.

Sekiro: You don't need to lose to get these key points about the game right. Otherwise I won't watch it.

I don't want much, but I can't be happy if Sekiro: Ne Defeat lacks these key elements.

Turning Soulslike into a skateboarding game is quite a leap, but creator Ionian-MikiriyAKATotallyNotShinobi has done a great job with the overhaul, animation, music, and overall atmosphere, landing it in a sweet spot between Jet Set Radio and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Now all that's needed is for the creators to add Bam Margera. This could be a really cool skateboarding game.

Hopefully, they will be able to add more levels of Sekiro to this mode. Maybe some of the bosses are playable skaters.
