Sure, the action sequences were great and Grace's horror sequence scared the crap out of us, but what was most talked about in Resident Evil Requiem was the fact that Leon got married. Unfortunately, we don't know if that person is Ada, Claire, or even Chris. There have been many hints as to who his partner might be, but there is no definitive answer.
From all rumors, it seems most likely that Leon ended up marrying Ada, but according to some newly discovered information in the files of Resident Evil 4 Remake, it may actually be Ashley. A file from RE4 Remake discovered by nigkira on Twitter included a photo of Ashley growing up, which has since been deleted. After it was revealed that Leon was married in Requiem, some fans theorize that Ashley is his wife.
Leon may marry Ashley in Requiem
The Twitter user first discovered this photo in December 2024. At the time, they said, “This photo is 100% an actual photo produced by Capcom.” “It has since been removed from the full version of the game (released March 24, 2023) and only exists in the chainsaw demo version of the game (released March 10, 2023). The photo is located in Hunnigan's office and can be accessed via Freecam.”
They also added that not many people know about it because the photo cannot be found in the final version of the game. However, Capcom has been working on Requiem for a while, which suggests the developers may have dropped a hint about Leon and Ashley's marriage in the RE4 remake. It's clear that Capcom wants to keep this a secret, as they've been recording all information about it since then.
Only Capcom knows why they kept all the secrets hidden. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that Ashley is the person that Leon married, but the fact that this photo of an older Ashley exists, and all of Capcom's secrecy behind it, certainly suggests that the character could be the person that Leon married. Now all we need is proof that Chris is on the run and we can see Love Island's version of Resident Evil.
