A person with the power of Shikotsu-myaku can freely manipulate bone structure, change bone density, etc. Their bones are so hard that they are almost impossible to break through. In its base form, Susano'o only allows the user to create a skeletal structure around themselves. As the Mangekyou Sharingan strengthens and control over it improves, Susanoo itself can grow by leaps and bounds in size.
Once the Mangekyou Sharingan is fully matured, especially when it transforms into the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and the burden on the body is lowered, the user can also manifest a complete structure called the Perfect Susanoo. Any powerful attack fired at the user can be easily repelled by someone who is a master of the Rinnegan and possesses sufficient chakra. For example, Pain can blow up an entire town. Basically, this mirror can be used as a shield, and its power is such that it can nullify any attack that exists in the world of Naruto. Yata Mirror can block even the most powerful attacks by simply adapting and responding with the opposite personality.
Unlike the Truth Seeking Orb, Yata Mirror has no weakness to Senjutsu. It nullifies all attacks, no matter how strong and composed, and is part of what made Itachi Uchiha an invincible ninja.
