ARC Raiders Developer Embark Studios has released a short teaser video for the game's upcoming Flashpoint update. This seems to confirm that Shredder, the deadliest ARC enemy in the game, has finally escaped the confines of Stella Montis. As March quickly comes to a close, Embark plans to close out the month with another major event. ARC Raiders The content update will be the third of four confirmed patches to arrive as part of the shooter's 2026 roadmap.
Following the huge success of last year's launch, Embark is starting the new year with a massive roadmap for 2026. ARC Raiders. According to the studio's plans so far: ARC Raiders Four updates will be released between January and April, with more updates expected thereafter. The first update, known as the Headwinds update, was released in January, adding the controversial 1v3 matchmaking option, a new Buried City exclusive map condition, and a new player project. Then in February, the studio deployed another major content update, Shrouded Sky, which added two new ARC enemies, a new location for Dam Battlegrounds, key map conditions, and more.
Between the Marathon and the ARC Raiders, it's clear which side took the bigger risk (and it paid off).
Marathon and ARC Raiders are two of the biggest extraction shooters of the past few years, but one is definitely more experimental than the other.
ARC Raiders shows Shredder escaping from Stella Montis
Last week Embark was third ARC Raiders This year's content update is scheduled to release on Tuesday, March 31st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Now, with the free patch fast approaching, the studio has released another teaser video, this time seemingly confirming that Shredder will soon be making his way to another map. The trailer's caption reads, “Someone forgot to close the Stella Montes door on their way out,” and the accompanying video shows a section of the Blue Gate's underground tunnels, confirming that a deadly enemy will be added to the map in next week's Flashpoint update.
For those of you who have been consistently receiving news since the launch of Embark Studio. ARC RaidersThis may not be all that surprising. Earlier this year, design director Virgil Watkins revealed in an interview with PC Gamer that the PvE aspect of the game will be given a new twist as Shredder is added to other maps in 2019. The studio hasn't revealed how many raiders have fallen victim to the Shredder, but you only have to visit Stella Montis to see how deadly they are.

Many fans seem to be calling for Embark to focus on new content instead of adding existing enemies to other maps, and some are speculating that the “new ARC threat” teased for March's Flashpoint update might not be so new after all. “Content creator and streamer Cloakzy has no intention of promoting Shredder as new content on other maps. Another user said: “Please don't tell me Shredder is the new ARC threat. Please.”
