Resident Evil Requiem voice actor reacts to Leon's thirst trap.

Resident Evil Requiem is without a doubt the most popular game of the year, and the numbers confirm it. There's no arguing about this, but there's one thing that's more popular than the game itself: Leon's new look. Almost everyone longs for this grizzled version of him.

Capcom has already revealed that developers took input from female employees into account to come up with a “hot uncle” version of the iconic character, and fans have joined in by creating a mod that makes him take his shirt off. In fact, even Leon's voice actor, Nick Apostolides, is jealous of his in-game avatar.

“I have to live up to this.”

Apostolides met the guys on Partychat (thanks GamesRadar) and read some of the thirstiest posts about Leon there. Even though he played the hunky hero, Apostolides couldn't help but feel a little jealous of the attention Leon was getting, while also agreeing with all the eloquently delivered messages about how hot he was.

Since the first post is about the aforementioned shirtless Leon mode, the reactions start to explode. “Look at those muscles. I’m jealous,” he said. “I'm getting jealous of my abs at this point. It's always so disparaging when your avatar gets so much hunkier than you. It's motivation. He'll motivate me.”

Another post compares Leon's thirst for Dead or Alive with Lara Croft, and Apostolides wholeheartedly agrees. Speaking about Leon's character mode, the actor said that Capcom consulted female staff members about his appearance. One of the presenters added: “He's a really nice guy. I get it. To be mentioned in the same tier as Laura Croft is pretty high praise.”

Since Partychat producer Skyler was responsible for editing the tweets, the crew mocked his Twitter algorithm for being filled with Leon thirst posts. “You’ll have a body pillow. It’s the Leon body pillow, right?” Apostolides interjected.

There's no denying that the Internet is completely fascinated by “Hot Uncle” Leon right now, and Apostolides completely understands. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go look for that Leon body pillow.
