Pokemon GO Confirms New Gigantamax Debut for Max Battle Day
On March 28th from 2pm to 5pm, players can take part in Max Battle Day, which will include the debut of Gigantamax Pikachu. Players can watch it debut in 6-star Max Battles, and if they're lucky, they might even spot a shiny variant. Originally introduced to the franchise through the Dynamax feature. pokemon sword and shieldPeople were initially shocked by Pikachu's Gigantamax design. From the looks of it, it seems to be a return to the chubbier look of the Gameboy version.
In addition to Pikachu debuting with all currently available versions of Gigantamax; Pokemon GOVarious event bonuses are also activated on Max Battle Day. The maximum particle collection limit is increased to 1,600, Power Spots refresh more frequently, and Gigantamax combat is featured. Players can also get up to 8x more particles from Power Spots, as well as three special deals per day. Players can also gain double the maximum amount of particles by walking a quarter of the distance.

Naturally, there's also a $4.99 premium option that lets you unlock more goodies during the event. An event-exclusive timed research will be unlocked, giving players up to 1 Mushroom, 25,000 XP, and 6,400 Max Particles, while doubling the amount of XP earned by participating in Max Battles. Max Mushroom Pokemon GO A valuable item that temporarily doubles all damage dealt by Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon in Max Battles. Using multiple Max Mushrooms will extend the active timer but will no longer increase the damage. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to get these items for free. This is because they can be purchased through the in-game store or through scheduled time-limited research.
Max Battle Day is set to start at the end of the month, but players can take part in a special Pokopia celebration event starting March 10th. Pokemon Pokopia, Pokemon GO Ditto will appear during this event, including a version wearing a hat. Players may also find their costumed Ditto transforming into other Pokémon in the wild, as Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Sudowoodo, and Zorua appear more frequently. The 3-star raid features Lapras, Snorlax, and Dragonite, and XP bonuses for rotating PokeStops will also be active until the event ends on March 16.
