Old glitches from the original Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen games still work in the Nintendo Switch version.
Pokemon Firered & Leafgreen Leftover Food Locations
Leftover Food is a popular item that allows Pokémon to heal a little each turn during battle, and to find it in Pokémon Firered & Leaf Green, players will need to obtain Itemfind located east of Vermilion City in the Gate Building.
Talk to Professor Oak's assistant on the second floor. If the player has captured or evolved 30 different Pokémon, it will provide the player with an item finder. Now Leftovers is actually very close. If players have already completed the Celadon City Game Corner underground battle and ousted Team Rocket from the top of the Pokémon Tower, they will already have the Poke Flute.
If not, wake Snorlax by following the steps shown here and then Use the Itemfinder on the exact spot where Snorlax was sleeping. Look for leftovers on Route 12. You can also get another leftover on Route 16 west of Celadon, as you can see in the video below.
This item is perfect for Snorlax, a pretty tanky Pokemon and one of the best teammates you could ask for to win the Elite Four in the Pokemon League. Give it leftover food and watch how it unleashes absolute hell on your enemies. With Rollout, Rest, Snore and Block abilities, Snorlax is an absolute threat. This is especially true if you can recover health while attacking with Rollout.
