Pokemon Pokopia It's finally been released, and players can't get enough of exploring this unique Pokemon world as the quirky Ditto guy. Pocopia is intended to be a somewhat long-term casual game, so there's always plenty to do, even beyond the story.
That said, if you're looking for something a little more exciting to do, Pokémon Pokopia's first in-game event, More Spores For Hoppip, is set to launch this month and will feature limited-time rewards and Pokémon interactions.
When will there be more spores for the Hoppip event?
Pokemon Pokopia was released on March 5, 2026, but the first event won't take place until March 9, 2026. This will give players who haven't yet purchased the game a few days to catch up before the event begins. The timeline of events is as follows:
- Starts on March 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM PDT — Ends on March 24, 2026 at 12:59 PM (PDT)
Players have discovered that they can access the Hoppip event at any time by setting the date on their Switch 2 to a date within this time frame, as is often done in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Disney's Dreamlight Valley. If you miss an event, you can theoretically reset the clock and get that Pokémon.
but, Time travel in games like this can often cause the game to crash. For example, if you do this in DDV, the store won't reset properly and daily items won't respawn until the game “catches up” on its own. Therefore, similar results are not yet known in Pocopia. You are responsible for doing this.
This will give players just over two weeks to complete the event and claim all rewards. That's good news. That's because before you can participate, you'll need to complete a few key story tasks.

How to complete more spores for the Hoppip event
More spore events for Hoppip, of course. Focused on Hoppip and its evolutionary lines.. When the event starts, you can find Hopip wandering around town and become friends with him. Hoppip will ask you to collect cotton spores. But these are Spores can only be found on the Dream Island..
To access the Dream Island, you must befriend the Drifloon floating on the shore near the sea.Next to the bridge leading to Pallet Town. That's all you have to do to be friends. Build a habitat with three bonfires side by side.And find a doll that can channel the energy in the area it directs you to. The doll appears as a doll in the overworld.
If you befriend Driflun and give him the doll, he will offer to take you to the Island of Dreams. You can only enter Dream Island once per day.from here Look for Cotton Spores at the Pokemon Center to exchange for picnic furniture items.. You can then use those items to create your own unique habitat. Creates Skiploom and Jumpluff.So you can become friends with those people too.
Dream Island is not to be confused with Cloud Island.. Dream Island is a resource island that Driflun can take once a day. Cloud Islands are used in multiplayer and do not contain cotton spores.

These Pokémon are considered exclusive to this event, at least for now, so they will remain after the event ends. You won't find it outside of this specific event.
You'll need to have access to the main Pokémon Center for the event to occur, as you'll need to trade Cotton Spores at a Pokémon Center. Even within the event period, Hoppip will not appear until the Pokémon Center is rebuilt.
Once the event starts, Hoppip should appear nearby to start the event and this will give you all the information you need to participate. So, you have to get to work and catch these three Pokémon before they disappear!
