Arc Raiders' Shrouded Sky update is now live, bringing with it a Hurricane, two new Arcs, several new skins, and most importantly, a beard. As with most other live service games, you may experience some server issues when a new update is released, but these should be resolved within a few hours.
In addition to all these additions, the update also included numerous balance changes to the game's weapons. The most notable change is that Stitcher and Kettle are finally getting nerfed. Both are starter weapons, but the community agrees that they are much better than late-game weapons. One has been slightly upgraded.

The patch notes detail all the changes and adjustments coming with the update. Embark explained why each weapon was nerfed or buffed so players can understand why adjustments are needed. Describing adjustments instead of just explaining them is something other developers should follow.
For Stitcher, the patch notes revealed that the weapon's high headshot multiplier, along with its high kill time, made it nearly impossible for someone to ambush it. For this reason, headshot multiplier has been reduced from 2.5 to 1.75, base damage has been reduced from 7 to 6.5, and shot dispersion has been increased by 50%.
As for the kettle, the developers noted that it's in a “bit of a weird place.” This weapon was intended to be a mid-range weapon, but players have converted it to an SMG by putting it into close combat. Embark didn't want to change this completely, so you'll only see the base damage reduced from 10 to 8.5.
Other popular weapons also received some changes. For example, the value of the Wolfpack has increased from 5,000 to 6,000, and the cost of refined explosives has also been reduced. However, you now need the Rocketeer Driver to craft it.
