The following contains spoilers for the Chainsaw Man comic.

Like it or not, Denji is continually drawn into battle with demons, hybrids, and elite human assassins, either for duty or for survival. Katana Man initially had the advantage over Denji, but was defeated when Denji revealed an entirely new power that would turn the tables. Asa and Yoru can reshape entire battlefields by turning American states like Michigan into weapons, making the two a serious threat to Denji. The difference is that Denji has more combat experience and is better adapted to his abilities. Overall Yoru and Asa still make an awkward pair and sometimes get in each other's way. That's why Denji can defeat these two in a real fight if the situation is right.
