Pokemon Legends: ZA This game has been my go-to comfort game since its release, and while it's far from perfect, I still very much enjoy it for many reasons. One of them is the Shining Hunt, perhaps the leader of the pack. Because for the first time in franchise history, you can get the shiny Latios, Latias, Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion. Pokemon Legends: ZABut its ranked matches are nothing to scoff at, and since launch we've loved ranking them in real-time matches with very accessible training options. But Season 7 has officially begun. This is one of the worst situations I have ever experienced. pokemon.
One could argue that: Pokemon Legends: ZA's combat approach is not suitable for VGC. However, the game still has some active competition, with users regularly hosting tournaments. It's very different from the usual competition pokemonBut not only are the battles real-time rather than turn-based, but teams are made up of three Pokémon each and have rules that differ from the official regulations. Pokemon Scarlet and Violetfor example. Unfortunately, Season 7 may have the worst ruleset the entire franchise has ever seen, and it can only get worse from here.
Pokemon Legends: ZA Home Support Update Update
The new season of Pokemon Legends: ZA has just begun with news surfacing regarding Pokemon Home compatibility, and things could get even better come Pokemon Day.
Pokemon Legends: ZA Breaks Rules for Forming Large Competitive Teams
Play ranked battles for rewards like all types of special Pokéballs, Pokédollars and more. Legendary: ZA Very worth it. Even more so if you want to get exclusive Mega Stones. Pokemon Legends: ZAContains Blaziken, available for the first time in Season 7. At the same time, the competitive meta is now very frustrating and very samey, as the ruleset not only activates every animal in the Pokedex, but also allows everyone to use up to two restricted Pokemon. These are:
-
Xerneas
-
Yveltal
-
Zygarde
-
Mewtwo
-
Kyogre
-
Groudon
-
Rayquaza

in Pokemon Legends: ZAIn Season 6 of , selection became more difficult, with a limit of one per team. Because the best choice will still depend on your team composition and what other players have used. The ruleset still allowed players to use three Legendary or Mythical Pokémon at the same time, but limited the game's strongest Pokémon to only one per team. Even if Xerneas and Kyogre dominate most matches, you can still team up to counter them and it'll still be fun.
My best team in Pokemon Legends: ZA last season was Overqwil, Rotom Mow, and Swampert. In Season 7, he still uses Overqwil and Rotom Mow to take on Xerneas, Mewtwo, Kyogre, and Groudon.
How Limited Pokemon in Legends: ZA Are Ruining Your Game
But now every team can run three legendary and mythical Pokemon. Legendary: ZA It also uses a combination of Xerneas, Mewtwo, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza, two limited monsters that usually translate into very uninteresting and repetitive team compositions, and uses side monsters like Genesect, Darkrai, Magearna, etc. This is the first time in the franchise that a full team of Legendary/Mythical monsters, including two limited Pokémon, are available, and the results are pretty dire. You can still try to avoid using Legendaries and Mythicals, but it's very difficult to win with fun, creative sets like Focus Energy + Scope Lens Kangaskhan, as opposed to spamming Life Orb, Focus Sash, and Expert Belt on OP Pokemon like Xerneas and Kyogre.
-
Rayquaza is almost an automatic inclusion in most teams, as is Mega Rayquaza. Legendary: ZA Mega Evolve doesn't require any inventory, so you can easily use the Focus Sash to increase your durability.
-
Equipped with Life Orb, Geomancy Xerneas can annihilate most meta threats without needing very effective attacks and is extremely durable.
-
Kyogre has access to a raw version, but his base form is still an incredible choice due to his extensive movement range and incredible stats.
-
Groudon has become one of the most used Ground-type Pokémon, to the point where Garchop is almost invisible.
I never thought I would miss the Garchomp meta. Pokemon Legends: ZABut here it is. Since Rayquaza is mostly Sashed, you rarely see Ice-type Pokémon now, so even if you use an Ice-type to destroy Sash, you won't have much to gain. Any movement can be done. But most of all, I really hate how the game is devoid of most “standard” Pokemon because the meta state is dropping and limited Pokemon are everywhere. Season 8 could be worse, possibly allowing a limited number of Pokémon, but this remains to be seen. Still, Season 7 is the lowest point in the franchise in terms of competition, so much so that players forget most regular Pokémon even exist, leading to legendary battles.
