5 new heroes have been added. Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 1 was the best new content I've seen in the game in a long time, and I completely embraced the game again after taking a few months off. As much as I like Overwatch It's dropping the “2”, introducing a new UI, an improved arena mode, and a torrent of new heroes, one of whom has been a pain in the ass to play against. At this point I would vote to ban them whenever I get the chance. Because right now they are so overpowered that it doesn't feel worth playing against them.
Thanks for the new batch. Overwatch Released alongside the relaunched Season 1, the heroes are trying something different and unique with their kits. Anran has the ability to deal burning damage to enemies, which is a useful feature for a DPS hero to have, and of course Jetpack Cat's lifeline ability opens the door to implementing all kinds of crazy strategies. However, I think Domina has so many advantages on her that she's pretty overpowered at the moment, and it's a reminder of how broken Sigma was when Domina was first added. Overwatch Again in 2019.

Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 1 saw Domina banned at every opportunity.
Unlike most players, I was lucky enough to get an early tryout with Domina at a hands-on preview event for media held at Blizzard's Irvine campus. Even during this preview playtest, we could tell that Domina will be a huge threat in the meta once it's released. Unfortunately, my suspicions were correct and Domina is now officially free. OverwatchI've had more time to experience both playing as her and against her, and I'm realizing just how underwhelming her kit really is.

Domina's abilities in Overwatch
- Photon Magnum (1st launch): A mid-range beam that ends with a high impact shot.
- barrier array: A split hard light barrier placed in front of Domina. You must destroy each part individually to create dynamic defensive angles.
- crystal charge: Projects an explosive crystal and reactivates it to explode.
- Sonic Repulsor: Push enemies away and stun them when they hit a wall.
- Ultimate — Panopticon: Fires a light-speed projectile that traps the enemy and explodes when it expires.
- Passive – Rebuild: When you deal damage with an ability, the shield is restored.
Domina, a fork tank, excels at anchoring herself behind a barrier array and damaging enemies from a distance with her Photon Magnum. In general, Domina has found that she has a hard time dealing with attackers who get close to her. Domina's Sonic Repulsor is the only way to separate herself from her enemies. Whenever I face an enemy Domina, I try to play a close-range hero like Reinhardt if I'm a tank, or Anran if I'm a DPS. However, even with this strategy in mind, it still seems like it's struggling to take down the enemy Domina, leading to primary criticism of Domina's current state.
Why Domina is so annoying to deal with
Anyone who has played against Domina Overwatch You probably know she could be a tough target to take down. Between her barrier array and her Rebuild passive skill, Domina has the defensive capabilities to survive the onslaught of unprepared players. The barrier array is huge and wraps around Domina in a semi-circle, making it difficult to break through even if you have the ability to destroy parts of the shield individually. Reconstruction is even more problematic. This is because Domina can continuously restore her shield while dealing damage.
This problem is further complicated by the fact that Domina's Photon Magnum is particularly lethal. It has a long range and deals constant damage, eventually increasing explosively to the point where squishier heroes will have difficulty surviving. Domina's combat loop therefore revolves around taking out weaker enemies with Photon Magnum while restoring her own shields. Essentially, Domina can ignore a lot of incoming enemy damage using a solid healer like Mercy or Baptiste, and Domina's combat loop rotates while an array of barriers stands as an additional wall that the player must break through to deal damage to Domina. There were several times where I almost finished off Domina before she retreated to the backline, and I ended up getting killed by the enemy DPS because it took too long to kill Domina.

How to rework Domina to be more balanced
I still want Domina to retain most of her abilities and her overall identity as a poke tank. OverwatchI think some of these skills need major nerfs. Photon Magnum's damage reduction over time, potentially dropping from 60 to 50, would be a good start. I'd also like to see her overall shield reduced to compensate for the fact that Reconstruction can heal when it deals damage. Reducing shields from 400 to 350 helps Domina feel more balanced defensively compared to her offensive abilities.
Even after recent nerfs, Domina is still underwhelming.
In the February 13th hotfix, OverwatchDomina has received a small nerf that reduces the health of the barrier array panels, making it easier to destroy individual pieces of the barrier. This certainly helps reduce Domina's survivability, but I don't think it's enough to correct the amount of damage Domina can output while also restoring her shields. until Overwatch Once we release an update that reduces Domina's gun shield and Photon Magnum damage, she will continue to be my top ban priority.
