CrossWorlds fans add Kid Goku to roster

Among the many Dragon Ball games that exist, from RPGs to fighters, if there is one genre that is missing, it is racing games. After all, how cool would it be to have Kid Goku and Piccolo (Driving School) racing around Kame House?

Well, thanks to one fan, we're a little closer thanks to the Kid Goku mod for last year's surprisingly good racer Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Considering the sheer number of crossover characters already present in CrossWorlds, Goku fits like a glove.

First shared on social media, Goku replaces AiAi from Super Monkey Ball. He's riding the Flying Nimbus, and there's music to help give you the full experience.

This mod, found on GameBanana, is more than just an overlay or character swap. For example, the horn is the pinging sound of Dragon Radar, and the Super Monkey Ball festival has since been completely replaced by the Dragon Ball theme.

Like we said, a lot of hard work went into it and it showed.

Mario Kart turning in front of Sonic and other characters in Sonic Racing Cross World.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is better than Mario Kart World, but it doesn't change anything.

Mario Kart is a behemoth that won't be bothered no matter how good its competitors are.

After all, not only because Goku is so damn good (no bias), but because CrossWorlds is a fever dream, it's not that crazy to think he could be official DLC one day.

CrossWorlds is truly the place for IP crossovers, whether it makes sense or not.

One look at CrossWorlds' roster and upcoming DLC list and you'd think it was a fan-made creation. But that's not the case. This is 100% real life.

Because in addition to Sonic and his goofy friends, there's SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star, Steve and Alex from Minecraft, and on the paid side, Pac-Man, Mega Man, and Proto Man. And in the free camp, we have Hatsune Miku, Joker from Persona 5, Ichiban from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise, NiGHTS, and the aforementioned AiAi.

So look at that list and tell me Kid Goku and the Flying Nimbus aren't A-plus additions. You can't. But until then, you'll have to be content with creating a community.
