Above all, the fates of those two symbols matched their personalities. All For One was defeated and captured, but perhaps viewers got the feeling that he would one day plan to return to relevance. Normally anime would keep the two parties separate, but “Declaration of a Young Woman” forced the two parties to interact through emotional appeals and a new level of trust rather than actions. Fans desperately wanted to see the symbol of evil brought down, so on a physical level, it was surprising and even cathartic to see Bakugo wielding an explosion to destroy All For One once and for all.
More than anything, fans were happy to see Bakugou fighting as a serious hero and not a bitter Vegeta type obsessed with taking the MC to the next level to feel good about himself. Bakugou finally stopped talking bad about himself and risked his life in battle to do his duty as a young hero, and it was nice to see that. Bakugo was still aggressive and proud, but only as a hero who wanted to help Deku fight for a future without villains. Bakugo's humility suited him well in this battle without compromising his most interesting personality traits.
