Embark Studios has announced a new product. ARC Raiders The event, called Shared Watch, is scheduled to launch on February 10th, focusing on the PvE elements of the game. After launch in 2025, ARC Raiders Rotating map conditions and limited-time events keep the gameplay loop fresh. However, this appears to be the first special event to specifically ask players to partner with strangers.
As a PvPvE game, ARC Raiders Players are free to decide how to interact with the world and other invaders. They may be hostile to the citizens of Speranza or they may treat them as allies. However, the upcoming shared viewing event seems designed to change the balance by encouraging players to focus on teamwork and team up with others.

ARC Raiders Announce Shared Viewing Event

It was announced through a short clip on Twitter, ARC RaidersThe shared surveillance event will run from February 10th to February 24th. Based on what has been revealed so far, it appears that PvE is at the center of shared surveillance. “You watch my back, and I’ll watch yours,” reads an official statement from Embark Studios, adding, “Team up with strangers to operate the machine and earn rewards along the way.”
The video shows two raiders teaming up mid-match to take down ARC enemies, resurrect each other, and even play music using: ARC Raiders' Instrument. This sparked a fan theory that shared watches would allow solo players to form duo teams with strangers. Others have speculated that the event could be connected to the photo mode, as the teaser is noticeably more artistic than previous clips. However, the latter seems unlikely, as the event description makes it clear that the mission is for players to team up to take down the ARC machine, rather than simply creating memorable moments.
Many ARC Raiders players are unhappy with the shared viewing event.
A quick look ARC Raiders' Social media accounts show hundreds of comments criticizing the lack of a dedicated PvE mode. Some players have even claimed that Embark Studios is adding shared viewing as a pseudo-PvE mode to discourage PvP. Recently, fans have also been expressing their dissatisfaction. ARC RaidersMatchmaking is no longer effective as more and more friendly players are placed in lobbies full of hostile invaders.
Others criticized Shared Watch for giving PvP-focused players a new way to abuse social interaction. “I see a lot of PvP players asking me to team up to shoot from behind,” one fan wrote. Similar concerns have spread throughout the community, with many once again urging Embark Studios to add a dedicated non-PvP mode instead of relying on limited-time events like shared viewing.
The popular mode returns on February 10th.
Recently, Embark Studios stated: ARC Raiders' Cold Snap map conditions return on February 10th. A Shared Clock event is also scheduled for the same day, so players can expect two notable changes.
After the shared viewing event, ARC Raiders'The next major event will be the second Expedition project.
