Even after Hakari won the jackpot, granting him infinite curse powers and the automatic reverse curse technique, Cassimo came close to killing him multiple times through sheer strategy and lightning. He used the chlorine in the seawater to create a poisonous gas and released it at the right time, almost blowing Hakari's head off, but Hakari survived and they eventually agreed to join forces against Sukuna.

When Kasimo finally faced Sukuna, he was the only wizard who could force the King of Curses to fully reveal himself in his Heian-era form. Kashimo was able to get Sukuna to take him seriously by activating Mythical Beast Amber, which momentarily distracted the weakened four-armed wizard with an explosion of light and sound.
