Black Ops 3: Gorod Krovi Main Easter Egg Guide (2026)

Battle through the war-torn ruins of Stalingrad in Gorod Krovi, a Black Ops 3 Zombies map, where this best easter egg guide will guide you to its end.

The Apothicon Servant and Lil’Arnies are essential for this easter egg, and both can be acquired from the Mystery Box.

Step 1: Shoot the Four Graves in the Correct Order

The simplest step can be started as soon as you spawn on Round 1 with your MR6 pistol. When you spawn in, you’ll need to shoot the four graves that can be found on the left side of the spawn area. These graves are on floating islands, separated from each other.

You’ll need to shoot the graves in this order: Edward Richtofen, Tank Dempsey, Takeo Masaki, and finally, Nikolai Belinski. From left to right, that’s: 2, 3, 1, 4. If done correctly, you’ll hear a lightning audio cue.

Step 2: Activate the Power & Pack-a-Punch

There are 4 Corruption Engines that need to be activated with 500 Points, simply by interacting with them, and waiting for the Corruption Engine to charge so that the infinite-spawning zombies die. These are the locations of each:

  • Spawn
  • Mob of the Dead
  • Der Eisendrache
  • Verruckt

Once all 4 Corruption Engines are online, you can enter through the portal outside each of them to teleport to Nacht der Untoten. From here, head up the stairs and locate the terminal. When the Apothicon Elder God flies through this area, interact with the terminal to trap it.

You can now go downstairs and enter its mouth. From inside its mouth, you can shoot the three yellow bulbs on the ceiling to release Pack-a-Punch. Feel free to leave the Apothicon Elder God by exiting through any of the fast travel stations.

Step 3: Build the Keeper Protector

There are three pieces required to craft the Keeper Protector, and each of these Summoning Altar Pieces, and their potential spawns, can be found below:

Keeper Crystal Locations

  • By the rubble in the center of Der Eisendrache’s pyramid.
  • On a barrel covered in a cloth, opposite the statues in Der Eisendrache’s Mystery Box room.
  • On a table by a red couch in the upper area of Kino Der Toten, towards Verruckt.

Keeper Head Locations

  • On a shelf opposite Speed Cola in Verruckt.
  • On a wheelchair outside the Electric Trap room in Verruckt.
  • On a wheelchair opposite Der Wunderfizz in Verruckt.

Keeper Banner Locations

  • On a wall to the right of Mule Kick in Mob of the Dead.
  • By a crate to the left of the Mystery Box at the Mound in Origins.
  • By a wooden wall and sandbags in the middle of Origins.

You can now build the Keeper Protector Station at Verruckt, Kino der Toten, or Der Eisendrache. It will cost 5,000 Points to summon the Keeper Protector, which will be important for the next step.

Step 4: Start the Keeper Protector Ritual

To start, you’re going to want to locate an out-of-place rock sticking out at the back of 1 of 3 Jump Pads (pictured in the first image above). These Jump Pads are as follows:

  • Jump Pad in Verruckt that leads to Kino der Toten.
  • Jump Pad in Mob of the Dead that leads to Verruckt.
  • Jump Pad in Shangri-La that leads to Spawn.

Once you’ve found your pointy rock shard, activate the nearby Keeper Protector for 5,000 Points, and bring him to the Jump Pad. You’ll need the Keeper Protector to start a ritual, which can be a tad finicky to trigger. Try using the Jump Pad and hugging the back next to the rock until he starts chanting.

The ritual lasts 3 minutes, and the zombies will try to kill the Keeper Protector, so keep him safe for this time. Once the trial has completed, an audio reel will drop where he despawns. Pick up this audio reel, and interact with the radio to the left of Jugger-Nog at Nacht der Untoten to play it.

Step 5: Acquire and Upgrade the Apothicon Servant

It’s time to spin the Mystery Box, as you’re going to need the Apothicon Servant, often referred to in-game as Estulla Astoth. This squid-looking gun is needed for the easter egg, and can only be obtained through the Mystery Box, so keep spinning.

Once the Apothicon Servant has been acquired, it’s time to upgrade it. You’ll need to locate 5 blue rocks outside of the map, and shoot them with the Apothicon Servant. The best way to shoot them is to line up your hipfire shot with the square at the center of the blue rock, then aim and fire. Here’s where to find all 5:

  • At Spawn’s Corruption Engine, look up to the right of the giant blue ball.
  • At Der Eisendrache’s Corruption Engine, look up towards Shangri-La.
  • At Verruckt, head up the stairs by the Electric Trap and look up from the tree towards the blue ball.
  • At Mob of the Dead’s Corruption Engine, look up towards the center-left of the blue orb.
  • Inside Nacht der Untoten, head towards the Apothicon Elder God and look above its head on a rock.

Will all 5 pieces shot and sucked into the black hole with the Apothicon Servant, return to Pack-a-Punch where you can now upgrade the weapon into Estoom-oth for 5,000 Points.

Step 6: Acquire the 6 Bones of Sophia

With the upgraded Apothicon Servant, you’re now going to need a Pack-a-Punch version of a bullet weapon. We recommend the ICR-9 outside of Kino der Toten, but any weapon will do. You’re going to need to find and shoot 7 rocks out of the map, and then shoot the floating bone that appears with the upgraded Apothicon Servant:

  • Spawn: At the Corruption Engine, look inside the church to the left.
  • Shangri-La: Above Stamin-Up.
  • Origins: At the back of Origins, just before Mob of the Dead, look to the right of the rock behind the fire.
  • Verruckt: At the Corruption Engine, look towards the waterfall.
  • Der Eisendrache: Activate anti-gravity, then wall-run out of the map and shoot the rocks on the edge of the third wall.
  • Nacht der Untoten: Up on the ceiling when facing the Der Eisendrache portal.

Once all bones have been shot with the upgraded Apothicon Servant (you’ll hear a subtle sound cue for each one), head to Nacht der Untoten, where, to the left of Jugger-Nog upstairs, is a pile of bones. Shoot these bones, and then a dress-wearing zombie will drop. Shoot the zombie with the Apothicon Servant, and an audio reel will be spat out. Take this audio reel to the radio at the Mound in Origins.

Step 7: Throw Lil’ Arnies in the Elder God’s 9 Holes

For this step, you’ll need Lil’ Arnies. These can be acquired from the Mystery Box, and take up your tactical slot for L2/LT. With Lil’ Arnies acquired, head into the Apothicon Elder God’s mouth. Around the walls of this room, you’ll find 9 holes in total. You will need to throw 1 Lil’ Arnie in each of the 9 holes. For every 3rd Lil’ Arnie in the hole, 3 Margwas will spawn.

Kill the Margwas to try and get a Max Ammo (or wait for a bug round) and then continue to throw the Lil’ Arnies in the holes you haven’t thrown them into yet, until you’ve successfully done all 9. They are all around the walls of the room, but one is close to the fast travel stations.

After all 9 have been completed (that’s 9 margwas in total), head to the middle platform to find an audio reel by a skeleton that can be picked up and placed onto the radio on the right side of the stage in Kino der Toten.

Step 8: Summon SOPHIA with the Corruption Engines

Now that you’ve acquired the three audio reels, you will need to return to each Corruption Engine. At each Corruption Engine, you can use the laser turret to aim and shoot at the blue crystals outside of the map, which we’ve shown above.

With all 4 Corruption Engines now firing lasers at different blue rocks, return to the upstairs area of Nacht der Untoten and interact with SOPHIA. She will now make her way to the teleporter at Kino der Toten, so follow her inside and interact with the teleporter.

You’ll now teleport into Samantha’s room at the House. On the bed, you’ll find the Kronorium book, which can be picked up. Once you teleport back to Kino der Toten, interact with the podium to place the Kronorium, which will begin the hunt for 4 Gateworm eggs.

Step 9: Find All 4 Gateworm Eggs and Hatch Them

placing the egg

After placing the Kronorium down, there will be 4 eggs scattered around the map. You can only carry one egg at a time, so pick it up and place it into one of the nests in the center of the Apothicon Elder God. There are 4 spawns for each egg, and we’ve listed them all below:

Egg #1 Locations (Spawn & Shangri-La)

  • Spawn: On a barrel to the left of the Jump Pad that goes to Origins
  • Spawn: Opposite the Jump Pad that goes to Shangri-La, on a trash can
  • Shangri-La: By the wall next to the first barrier before the Spawn Jump Pad
  • Shangri-La: Inside the fire pit closest to the GobbleGum Machine

Egg #2 Locations (Kino der Toten & Der Eisendrache)

  • Kino der Toten: By wooden furniture and the Kino map board among the shrubs
  • Kino der Toten: On the upper right spectator seats (you need to jump to grab them)
  • Der Eisendrache: Inside a bucket by Der Wunderfizz
  • Der Eisendrache: Between the statue of Primis opposite the Mystery Box

Egg #3 Locations (Origins & Mob of the Dead)

  • Mob of the Dead: To the right of the Corruption Engine, in front of a cell
  • Origins: On a broken wooden floor in the walkway from Origins to Mob of the Dead
  • Origins: In the corner, opposite a Group 935 box
  • Origins: Next to the Der Wunderfizz Machine

Egg #4 Locations (Verruckt)

  • Verruckt: By the wall next to Der Wunderfizz
  • Verruckt: Up the stairs past Speed Cola, laying on the rubble of a filing cabinet and bed frame
  • Verruckt: Inside the room with the green vats from Zetsubou No Shima
  • Verruckt: By the rocks and shrubs opposite the Corruption Engine, before the stairs to the Electric Trap

With all 4 eggs acquired and placed into their incubation pods within the Apothicon Elder God, you will need to kill zombies inside the Apothicon to feed each egg enough souls so that a Gateworm hatches.

Step 10: Find All 4 Runes of Creation

gateworm in revelations

Once the Gateworms have hatched, you will need to interact with them to pick them up, but only one at a time. With a Gateworm now in your inventory, you must navigate through the map to locate a beeping noise (your controller will also vibrate).

Once the vibrating noise is at its fastest pace, interact with the ground to plant the Gateworm, and then interact with the symbol that appears. There are 3 potential spawns for each egg, meaning you’ll need to find 4 symbols. Here’s where they can be located:

Rune of Creation #1 (Spawn Area)

  • By the Jump Pad that leads to Origins.
  • In front of Quick Revive.
  • In the garden area by the Jump Pad before Shangri-La.

Rune of Creation #2 (Mob of the Dead & Origins)

  • In the trenches in Origins.
  • When facing the KN-74 wall-buy in the tunnel.
  • Opposite the Corruption Engine in Mob of the Dead.

Rune of Creation #3 (Der Eisendrache & Shangri-La)

  • In front of Stamin-Up in Shangri-La.
  • In front of one of the anti-gravity squares by the pyramid in Der Eisendrache.
  • In front of the three Primis statues in Der Eisendrache’s Mystery Box room.

Rune of Creation #4 (Verruckt)

  • Next to the Zetsubou No Shima vats upstairs.
  • In front of the electrified fence in the Electric Trap room.
  • In front of the Jump Pad that leads to Kino der Toten.

Step 11: Complete the Rune of Creation Trials & Get the Summoning Key

Once you have all four of your Runes of Creation, you will need to memorize the symbols. You can check your symbols by looking at the bottom right of the leaderboard. With your symbols memorized, head to the projector room in Kino der Toten with Widow’s Wine, and enter the glowing purple circle to teleport into what will later be the boss room.

Once inside, interact with the Kronorium to begin. This will spawn endless zombies, and your objective here is to wait for the Kronorium to flip pages, revealing the order of your symbols. When all four symbols have been shown, head to the back of the room and only interact with the flashing purple symbol when it’s the correct one in the sequence shown by the book. Lil’ Arnies are great for distracting zombies while you wait for your symbols.

Once all 4 symbols have been input in the correct sequence, 4 unique waves of Margwas will spawn. For this, we recommend a Pack-a-Punched Shotgun or, even better, the Thunder Gun, to easily destroy the Margwa heads. These are the challenge waves you will experience:

  • Void Margwas: The purple pools on the floor can damage you.
  • Fire Margwas: Fire blocks certain paths and can damage you if you enter it.
  • Light Margwas: The entire ground damages you, so you’ll need to use anti-gravity to jump into the light pools.
  • Lightning Margwas: Some paths are blocked by electrified walls.

Once you’ve cleared all 4 waves of Margwas, you can approach the Summoning Key in the center of the room to pick it up, where you will then be teleported back to Kino der Toten.

Step 12: Use the Summoning Key on 7 Objects

With the Summoning Key now acquired, you’ll need to throw it (R2/RT) at specific areas in each location within the map. If you miss, then just pick up the Summoning Key where it lands. If you can’t find it, look for the blue light in the sky. If it falls off the edge, it should respawn near you. Here are the locations:

  • Kino der Toten: The central chandelier found on the ceiling.
  • Der Eisendrache: The clocktower, found when facing up from the Corruption Engine.
  • Shangri-La: When exiting from Der Eisendrache, look to the right and throw it at the crystal orb by the palm tree.
  • Origins: Above the Mound, face spawn and look to the left and throw it at the tombstone.
  • Mob of the Dead: At the back of the cell block, opposite the Corruption Engine, you can find a poster in an open cell.
  • Verruckt: To the right of the Corruption Engine, you’ll see a stone fountain with an MG-42 turret. Throw it towards the fountain.
  • Nacht der Untoten: Face the open zombie barrier that looks towards Spawn and throw it at the red barrel by the truck.

When entering the portal to Nacht der Untoten, use the melee button (R3), as this will prevent a random glitch that might remove the Summoning Key. If you can’t find the Summoning Key, it should be somewhere in Nacht der Untoten. After all 7 items are hit, the Summoning Key is automatically removed.

Step 13: Defeat the Shadow Man

After throwing the Summoning Key at the items above, the Summoning Key will be removed from your inventory. Now, you can enter the teleporter at Kino der Toten to begin the boss fight. You must have a fast-firing bullet weapon, as the boss fight is near-identical to Shadows of Evil.

Once you enter the boss arena, locate one of the four glowing green altars and interact with any of them to place the Summoning Key. Now, charge this altar with zombie souls until no more are taken, and interact with the altar to take the Summoning Key, and throw it at SOPHIA in the middle of the room.

SOPHIA will zap the Shadow Man, and your goal is to shoot him until he teleports into the mouth of the Apothicon Elder God. As soon as the Shadow Man is in the mouth, interact with the Kronorium below him to complete the boss fight. Shortly after, the final cutscene will play, and you will have completed Revelations!

For completion, you will get a bonus Calling Card, 1,000,000 XP, a permanent RK5 starting pistol for every game, and max ammo in the MR6 for every game. Check out our updated guides on all Black Ops 3 Zombies maps to get the Super Easter Egg rewards:
