Magic: The Gathering has revealed a new set of Baldur's Gate 3 Secret Lair cards. This time we feature two of our favorite companions. You can't include Shadowheart without mentioning something related to BG3, but this version is entirely devoted to Shar. Meanwhile, Gale's card shows us the romantic side of the Wizard of Waterdeep.
There are five cards for each of your two companions, so you can have them ready when you need them. Released February 9, 2026 at 9:00 AM PT. The foil version costs money. $39.99A non-foil version is available. $29.99. It contains great artwork from our beloved companions, and even includes cameos from other BG3 characters.
Shadowheart and Gale Star in the new BG3 x MTG Secret Lair Drop
Shadowheart's Devotion drop contains Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar, and other cards showcasing her embrace of Shar. It also features other Baldur's Gate 3 characters like Mol and Ansur. The Ask the Queen card art perfectly captures how we all feel about our favorite goth girl.
Gale's Ambition drop represents everything a wizard aspires to be, but also features his badass side. Personal Tutor harkens back to his first move on Tav under a beautiful sky, while Archmage's Charm shows his sexy, bare-chested astral projection. These two certainly make good examples.
Wizards of the Coast knew exactly what they were doing with these two choices in particular. “With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, there’s room for romance at this party, too, whether your heart is a dangerously charming wizard or a complicated cleric,” the announcement said.

D&D and BG3 fans will be buying these cards as soon as they are released, so keep an eye out for them.
