All new weapons in Grounded 2 Toxic Tangle update
Players returning to Grounded 2 with the Toxic Tangle update will notice several changes to the way combat works, especially in terms of mutations and weapon perks. But amidst all these changes, there is also an important silver lining. Now there are more weapons and they come with cool designs and effects. Let's take a look at them:
black ant sword
-
Combo Damage: 40/40/50
-
Stun: 5
-
Speed: Fast
-
Critical Strike Chance: 5%
A Tier 3 version of Grounded 2's classic one-handed sword, with more combo power and a new color since it's crafted from Black Ant rather than Red Ant. Please note that this weapon is unlocked by analyzing black ant heads dropped by black soldier ants. It's a decent weapon, but it doesn't have any special perks that make it shine. Except perhaps players could combine it with the Black Ant Set and Black Ant Shield to look very cool.
cricket lute bow
-
Bow Damage Multiplier: 20%
-
Speed: average
-
Critical Strike Chance: 4%
Arguably the best ranged weapon this expansion has brought. It has a lot of power and a perk that gives the bow a 35% chance to grant a healing buff to nearby players and buggies when it hits its target.. This, combined with the new Bardic Inspiration Mutation and Cricket Armor Set, turns every archer in Grounded 2 into a combat healer. How cool is that? To find this blueprint, players must analyze cricket drumsticks.
fluoride
-
Bow Damage Multiplier: 20%
-
Speed: average
-
Critical Strike Chance: 5%
An alternate version of the Cricket Lute Bow modified by the Mysterious Stranger can be found in the southern corner of the OGRR Lab rooftop. The biggest difference from the original bow is that instead of healing allies, it has a perk called Song of Discord, which causes the bow to critically strike and apply various negative effects to the target. A critical hit has a 35% chance to reduce the target's attack power by 15% for 10 seconds, a 35% chance to reduce the target's movement speed by 40% for 5 seconds, and finally, a 25% chance to apply 8 stuns every second for 2 seconds. Very useful against bosses.
Twilight Blade
-
Combo Damage: 39/39/54
-
Stun: 4
-
Speed: Fast
-
Critical Strike Chance: 6%
A pair of daggers crafted from Earwig Pincer (yes, players will need to analyze this bug part to unlock the recipe). It's fast and deadly, and at weapon level 4 it unlocks a perk called Desperate Defense, which reduces all damage the player takes when below 75% health. It's a decent weapon that can be used in a variety of builds, so players should experiment to see if it suits their tastes. Dealing with spiders is very useful.
Crimson Reaper
-
Combo Damage: 39/39/54
-
Stun: 4
-
Speed: Fast
-
Critical Strike Chance: 5%
Crimson Reapers are a modified version of Dusk Blades and have reduced critical strike chance, but the perk unlocked at level 4 is Desperate Criticals, which increases the critical strike chance of attacks when the player's health is below 30%. Useful, but not the best weapon in the game. You can find it by scouting out a pumpkin surrounded by Tang Pools (can be removed with the Ladybug Buggy) and ORC Black Ant Soldiers. The location is south of the fertilizer bag, near the greenhouse border.
Grounded 2: All Creatures and Loot
There are a lot of creatures in Grounded 2, most of them insects, but there are also arachnids and mollusks. Each of these can be killed for loot.
mountain ruins
-
Combo Damage: 42/42/53
-
Stun: 1
-
Speed: slow
-
Critical Strike Chance: 3%
This new wizard wand focuses on causing Sour Tang Buildup, a status effect that causes armor corrosion and leaves even the most fearsome enemies vulnerable. Mage Build is greatly underrated in Grounded 2, but it's a lot of fun to play. The final combo of this staff causes a burst of tango that builds this new status effect on all nearby enemies. It can be
Withersting
-
Combo Damage: 42/42/53
-
Stun: 1
-
Speed: slow
-
Critical Strike Chance: 2%
It's a modified version of the Acid Ruin Staff with two interesting perks: Tang Attack (same as the Acid Ruin Staff) and Puckered Recovery (attacks reduce the enemy's healing by 50% for 10 seconds as long as the enemy's Tang buildup reaches maximum). This isn't too difficult to achieve with a few combos. This reduces healing and causes damage. Where is the problem? The problem is that the player must find the stranger's modified weapon inside a trash can in the Yard's Fire Pit area near the park bench. Watch out for new bugs roaming around. They will make players money.
boomstick
-
Combo Damage: 55/55/69
-
Stun: 9
-
Speed: slow
-
Critical Strike Chance: 2%
The Boomstick is a modified version of the Walllopeño (from Grounded), dealing massive smash and spicy damage. But charged attacks are the most important. Causes a shockwave AoE for 15 spicy damage and 15 sizzle build-up to any creature it touches. It's pretty cool, but needs to be discovered. More precisely, you'll have to wrestle in the ravenous maw of an ORC wolf spider (not literally). This weapon is guarded by this boss bug and can be found inside a complex network of tunnels accessed through an entrance underneath the Vegetable Basket (southwest corner of the garden wall). Have fun exploring caves!
