The work to bring Pokémon to Hytale has begun.

They're generally one of the most litigious companies in video games, as evidenced by the ongoing Palworld lawsuit, but for some reason Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have allowed Pokemon-infested Minecraft servers to persist for years.

With Hytale, a Minecraft-like title that started as a Minecraft multiplayer server and is just beginning its life on the market, modders are figuring out just how much they can do, and there's clearly a lot of it.

Now, just two weeks after launch, Pokemon Minecraft server PokeFind has declared its ambitions to enter Hytale, and it wants to make it happen before the release of Grand Theft Auto 6.

Pokemon comes to Hytale thanks to enterprising creators

PokeFind Minecraft servers have been running for several years now. The game features a “survival world inhabited by Pokémon and includes many customizable survival features,” along with “customizable Pokémon regions containing Pokémon, storylines, trainers, and more!” We are planning to enter Hightail soon.

Announced via their official Twitter account, PokeFind creators said, “We want this game to be playable for everyone, not just on one server. That's why Hytale's Pokémon will be released as servers and mods. We'll have our own PokéFind server along with mods available on CurseForge for the community to enjoy.”

The team didn't provide a time frame for when PokeFind would be available for Hytale, but did say that we would get “Pokémon from Hytale before GTA 6,” and they responded, “That's the goal.”

Like Minecraft, it's clear that Hytale will rely heavily on the modding community. Game creator Simon Collins-Laflamme regularly praises the mod he sees on social media, and the Hytale mod was downloaded over 5 million times in its first week. Considering that it is available in limited quantities, this is no small feat.

Although it's still early days, the hightail's future certainly looks bright. Especially since the team has a 10-year plan.
