Pokemon GO announced the Carnival of Flamigo event, adding Flamigo to the mobile augmented reality game. This event will continue the trend of adding Gen 9 creatures. Pokemon GOFans won't have to wait any longer before collecting Flamigo for themselves.
Since its launch in July 2016, Pokemon GO We've added more Pokemon to the Pokedex regularly. While the game does not feature every Pokémon in existence, it does feature hundreds of creatures that players can catch. Flamigo added to Pokemon GO in new event for February 2026
As February approaches, Scopely has unveiled Carnival of Flamigo. This event will run from Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time until Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 8:00 PM local time and will help kick off the month. As the name suggests, it stars Flamigo, a synchronized Pokémon. This will be the debut of the Gen 9 critters. Pokemon GO As the event progresses, you can meet them in the wild. Additionally, other wild encounters that may occur during the Flamigo carnival include Lotad, Buneary, Pikipek, and Spritzee.
As far as event bonuses go, players will have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Lotad, Shiny Spritzee, and Shiny Pikipek. There are also a few other bonuses you can take advantage of during the Flamigo Carnival, including double incense and daily adventure incense duration during the event, potentially making it easier to catch some Pokémon. Additionally, players will receive an additional 500 Stardust when they catch Flamigo.

while Pokemon GO Players can catch Flamigo through wild encounters, but the February event will also feature other ways to catch the Pokémon. In particular, new field research tasks are being added to Carnival of Flamigo that reward encounters with event-themed Pokémon. In addition to these activities, free and paid time-limited studies are available for a limited time during Carnival of Flamigo. Some of the rewards for free time-limited research include Incense, two Stardust, and an encounter with an event-themed Pokémon. Players can access event-exclusive paid subscription research by spending $4.99. Rewards for this include one star fragment, an event-themed avatar pose, and an encounter with an event-themed Pokémon. It's worth noting that rewards earned from completing both versions of time-limited research must be claimed before 8pm local time on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
This upcoming event suggests that Scopely plans to add new Pokémon to mobile frequently. In reality, the developer is hosting another host. Pokemon GO An event taking place in late January will add another Gen 9 animal, Glimmet, to the roster. Known as Into the Depths, the event begins on January 27th at 10am local time and runs until February 1st at 8pm local time.
It will be interesting to see what other Pokémon will appear in the game in the coming months. It is likely that more Pokémon from the Paldea region will appear. However, Gen 10 games are expected to be released in 2026. This would dramatically expand the pool of available Pokemon, giving fans more animals to potentially collect.
