Games added to the PS Plus Essential tier are effectively “free” games, meaning subscribers can access them indefinitely as long as they are registered with the service. In contrast, games in the Extra and Premium tiers have availability on a rolling basis, like Xbox Game Pass. Typically, PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers get one major update each month, with this month releasing on January 20th.
