Currently, Chugong doesn't seem to be writing any side stories. but, Igris will get his backstory soon.. He will be added as a humanoid to Solo Leveling: Arise, and to promote this, his backstory will be turned into a comic chapter for fans to enjoy.
Fans will get to see what Igris looked like before he became a shadow, that is, when he was human. Of course, his human form is based on details previously provided by Chugong, such as long gray hair and blue eyes.

Nonetheless, aside from these two side stories, Chu Gong has previously stated that he wants to create more content for solo leveling, some of which has a romantic undertone. For example, fans know that Sung Jin-woo ends up with Cha Hae-in in Solo Leveling Ragnarok. but, Chugong previously expressed his desire to tell Jinwoo's story with other characters. Fans already know this character as Joohee.. She and Jin-Woo had some romantic tension before the author decided to take her out of the story.
Besides that Chu Gong also expressed his desire to make a new sequel separate from Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.. As fans know, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is a work created by a different author, and Chugong seems to want to create another story for Jinwoo after the original novel ends. Unfortunately, none of these projects are currently underway, at least not officially. It seems that fans will have to wait for further news about Chu Gong in the future.
