Path of Light English Trailer

Four days ago, Nintendo shadowdropped Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, both the best Fire Emblem game and the least accessible Fire Emblem game, as part of the Nintendo GameCube Classics program, available only on Switch 2.

There was just one problem. There hasn't even been an English trailer, let alone an acknowledgment on Nintendo of America's official channels.

Four days later, Nintendo seems to be attempting to rectify this, releasing a full English trailer on its YouTube channel along with several posts on social media.

Again, it's unclear exactly why Nintendo has been so behind in letting fans know about the next entry in its widely popular Nintendo Classics program.

The gap between the Japanese release and the US release was long enough that some people have already beaten the game.

But its conspicuous absence has led some to believe that the company doesn't really care much about the GameCube Classics line or Fire Emblem.

Nintendo's next big RPG could take the world by storm like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

GameCube Classics had a strange marketing push.

The top comment on the YouTube trailer reads, “'Better late than never' upload.”

That level of humor hasn't gone away on Twitter either. “After a few days and now they've finally released this trailer outside of the Switch 2 online app? Sheesh,” one user wrote.

That said, while Fire Emblem fans were particularly frustrated by the lack of recognition, they were pretty much on par when it came to the GameCube Classics program.

You'd be forgiven if you didn't know there was also Wario World. The game was announced with a press release and a small trailer on site. Before that, Luigi's Mansion was announced through a late-night trailer release.

Meanwhile, barring the surprise release of the Wario World level, the next three games yet to be released as part of GameCube Classics are Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Pokemon Colosseum, and Mario Sunshine.

While the previous two may appear as part of the Pokemon 30th Anniversary celebration, it's certainly safe to assume that Sunshine's eventual inclusion may result in it getting the same treatment that every other game has gotten so far.
