Where to Find Food at StarRupture
The most basic types of food you can get in the game are from plants and can be found almost anywhere.. When you get off at the starting line, you will see a pond nearby with a few flowering plants. What you need are called Polifruits and are similar to corn or carrots..
While exploring, you may also discover: Corpse of previous expedition. They tend to eat some processed foods, such as calorie bars, but in some cases, the foods they consume are healing, not nutritional. It's a great source of nutrition early on, but once you loot it, you can't loot it again even after the Ruptura event.
Polyfruits are fairly common, so you should have no trouble finding them, especially around ponds near the starting area, which is filled with hydrobulbs for water.
How StarRupture Processes Food
One polyfruit gives you 11 calories back, which is not very efficient. To get more calories from food, Recipe stations should help you create better supplies.You can unlock them by improving your relationship with one of the companies.
Once you have unlocked and built your Recipe Station, click the button on the left side of the menu and select the Supplies tab. Here you can see all the consumable items you can research and craft, as well as the benefits you get from eating them. If you want a product that will only help you get your food meter back on track, research calorie bars first. Each one restores a whopping 90 calories. For this you will need the following resources to unlock the recipe:

You can find the Snake Root in the Rocky Mountain biome, northeast of your starting area.
If you want food that is one level higher than regular polyfruits, Check out Figler first. This restores 15 calories and 20 water, making it a great on-the-go snack for long trips in Arcadia. Figlers are created using Pricklers, cactus-like plants found in green fields near the landing site.
