Solo Leveling Season 3 was scheduled to come out in 2026.. The first season of Solo Leveling dropped in early 2024, with Season 2 dropping less than a year later in early 2025. Naturally, most fans expected Solo Leveling Season 3 to drop in early 2026. However, when the second season ended, there was no announcement about a follow-up season. This left all fans perplexed, and since then there has been no word on what the Solo Leveling franchise plans to do moving forward. In fact, Solo Leveling Season 3 has not yet been confirmed, so fans don't even know whether they will be able to watch this season or not.

Solo leveling movie version will shake the world
If A1 Pictures' production reports are to be believed, fans will be happy to know that the next step in Solo Leveling is not Season 3 at all. Instead, They seem to be focusing on a new film project that could be released sometime in 2026.. While major details about the project are still unknown, it's clear that Solo Leveling Season 3 is not currently on the agenda. After the second season, it appears that there are plans to continue the story with a canon adaptation in movie form. In other words, Solo Leveling takes inspiration from Demon Slayer and sets out to make a canon film.
Of course, it was also mentioned that the movie is in pre-production, which means a lot of things can still change. For example, according to reports, the Solo Leveling movie was scheduled for release in late 2026. This makes sense, considering that nothing has been revealed about the film yet and that production will likely take at least close to a year to complete. In other words, The Solo Leveling movie could be released around December 2026.
However, it should also be remembered that the film is currently only in pre-production, so it could easily be delayed to 2027. In either case, one thing we can say with certainty is that the next step for the franchise is a movie, not Season 3.

It goes without saying that fans would love a solo leveling movie. In the end, it will deliver a high level of action and quality that is far superior to anything the anime season has offered so far. Conversely, this means fans will miss out on the exciting discussions that took place each week and that followed each episode. This takes away and diminishes the community in many ways, and that's a huge shame.
In that way, The Solo Leveling movie will likely evoke mixed reactions among all fans.. While it will most certainly provide fans with the best version of solo leveling ever, it will also be a huge setback for the community, especially since the film will be released at different times around the world.
In both cases, there is little fans can do. There are a lot of positive aspects to the Solo Leveling movie, and fans can still appreciate it even if Season 3 never happens. Because in both cases, the future of the franchise appears to be secure.
