It's easy to forget that Rockstar Games has been releasing titles other than Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, two franchises the company has kept alive since 2013, when Grand Theft Auto 5 first released.
The best of Rockstar's franchises was Midnight Club, an arcade racer series partially inspired by the real-life Mid Night Club of Japanese street racers. Therefore, the Chinese character for “Wangan” was added to the Midnight Club logo. In total, there were four core Midnight Club games with multiple re-releases before the series disappeared in late 2009.
Speaking of racing games, I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses the days of arcade racers like Blur, Split/Second, Grid, and Burnout. Neither of these games are completely GOTY material, but they were incredibly fun and very unique.
That said, if the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 is just too unbearable or you're missing Midnight Club, video game fan and creator Vinícius Medeiros has done the unthinkable: repackaging Midnight Club 2, a long-delisted title, with modern controller support.
This repackaging, as well as a backwards compatible version of Midnight Club 3 on Xbox One and Xbox Series hardware, at least helps keep the franchise alive.
Rockstar has “a lot of other things going on” in addition to Grand Theft Auto 6, and hopefully one of them will be LA Noire 2.
I know it's a pipe dream, but it's a pipe dream of mine.
It is one of the few Rockstar Game franchises that the studio has not made available on newer hardware due to license expiration. This is effectively causing people like Medeiros to give up, which is where conservation efforts come from.
At one point, Rockstar even had a table tennis game.
In addition to Midnight Club, Rockstar also participated in Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis. Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis is, as you might have guessed, a realistic table tennis game, believe it or not.
There was also an adaptation of The Warriors, along with music creation game Beaterator and Bully, Manhunt, Manhunt and LA Noire, both released on the PSP. Rockstar has also been involved in publishing other notable titles such as the surfing game H30 and The Italian Job for the PS2.
Lastly, before we ultimately reach our goal, lest we forget what we did with Remedy in Max Payne 1 and 2, we did some in Max Payne 3. Then again, this wasn't always what GTA was all about, and Midnight Club 2's repackaging is some of the most painful evidence of what we're used to.

Skyrim on Switch 2 should have been a home run, but it's an embarrassment.
An RPG from 2011 shouldn't run at 30 frames per second on a console from 2025.
