Now that this year's The Game Awards is officially over, we can almost certainly say that there's been a lot of resolution to a lot of the big storylines that have permeated ahead of the annual event.
That mysterious statue? Oh, and it was for Larian Studios' Divinity game. Any teasing about something to do with “The Old Republic”? Yes, Casey Hudson is leading the new Star Wars game. Don't forget that Control: Resonant's trademark was actually real and is scheduled for release next year.

But one thing we don't seem to have addressed is Sega taking to their YouTube channel to tease everyone that they don't want to miss The Game Awards. Or at least it was the solution everyone wanted.
After all, that big announcement was for the unannounced third and final Total War game, Total War: Warhammer 40K. It wasn't for Persona 4, the new Sonic game, Shenmue or Virtua Fighter.
Naturally, everyone is still trying to figure out where the problem went and having a good time in the process.
It would have been great if it was Persona 4 or a new Sonic, but it's a shame.
One user on Twitter really wanted to ask: What was Sega's announcement? Of course, there's a good chance this person knows, but everyone around them is having some serious fun poking around.
The rest of the answers are all equally hilarious, including one that mocks the fact that Mario Kart World beat Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for Best Sports/Racing. Sega actually wanted people to see “L” happen in real time.
As a Mega Man fan who was really excited to see Mega Man: Dual Override announced live, my heart goes out to fans of Persona and Sonic who were holding out hope that there would be a similar big announcement. Alas, we will have to wait.
That said, while many people are having fun at the expense of fans of the major Sega franchises (Sonic, Virtua Fighter, Persona or Yakuza), the Total War
The only understandable frustration is that it's really easy to forget that Creative Assembly, the group behind all these Total War games, is a subsidiary of Sega. So when you hear about Sega and the possibility of a big announcement, your mind actually goes to Sonic and such.
Oh well.
