While crossing the forest legendary wizard 2You will eventually reach one of several elemental bosses. Each of them wields a powerful arcana variant of that element, so players must learn their patterns and mix up their aggression to take them down.
One such boss is Thunder Ace Voltran, a master of lightning spells. legendary wizard 2. Voltran is fast and lethal, and can mix in AOE attacks to inflict massive damage at all ranges. Voltran is a great example of the Lightning Element's greatest strength, so taking him down will be quite a challenge.

How to Avoid |
|
Voltran swings his arm and, after a moment, creates an electrified target line. He swings one arm, then the other, then both arms together. |
The line is electrified, so rush to avoid this attack, and if possible, move forward or right back when he fires his third attack. This will create a safe cone of space between the final lightning blasts and give you a chance to counterattack. |
|
Voltran moves away from you, then spins and lunges back at you, creating a disk of orbital lightning around him. |
When he runs towards you, wait a moment and then dash twice from your current location to avoid being in range of the disc. If you have a ranged arcana, fire at him while he uses the disc. Because he can't move while using the disc. |
|
Voltran spins and launches into the air, creating multiple target areas that are struck by lightning immediately after spawning. After several lightning strikes, a larger target area will appear and Voltran will jump into that location with lightning. |
As soon as the target area starts to appear, get out of it and dash into any open space you see. Repeat this until a large circle appears, dash out of it, then turn around and blast him while he takes time to recover. |
|
Voltran creates a target line and then dashes along it at lightning speed, repeating twice more. |
The moment the line appears, dash to the side and repeat two more times. This is one of Voltran's fastest attacks and hardest to avoid, so it may take a few tries to get the timing right. After Voltran's third charge, you'll have a brief opportunity to attack, but unless you're using a ranged attack or are right next to him, you probably won't have time to take advantage of it. |
The goal of this fight is to be aggressive enough to fill your stun gauge (which depletes over time if you take too long between attacks), but not so aggressive that Voltran catches you with his attacks. It's a delicate dance that takes a bit of practice to get down to, but if you attack in the opening with each attack and don't get greedy, you should be able to stun him.
Once stunned, you can lay down all of Voltran's damage spells and drain as much of his health bar as possible before he recovers. Rinse and repeat and he'll be down before you know it.
