Baldur's Gate 3 can be a very dark game at times, but one thing it doesn't allow is killing children. Well… strictly speaking, that's not true. You can't kill children outside of a story decision, so you can't go into battle and slaughter them. Strangely enough, other than the goblin children. But I digress.
The inability to kill children in battle has the unintended consequence of making them incredible allies, as long as they follow your commands. This would normally be impossible, but finally, two years after launch, someone made it a reality.
Baldur's Gate 3 players find a way to kill Isobel without losing the Tieflings to Dark Urge.
My actions shouldn't have consequences… right?
Baldur's Gate 3 content creator Morgana Evelyn has devised a way to permanently recruit an army of child followers who don't even have to follow the normal rules of combat. Unlike adult followers, child followers can move around and use their abilities as much as they want, tearing apart their enemies as long as they ignore their morals.
Baldur's Gate 3's attacks allow you to recruit unstoppable allies, and Swen Vincke loves it.
Morgana Evelyn did this for her challenge run. The goal is to win the game without giving the enemy a single turn. She did this through a variety of attacks and some very out-of-the-box thinking.
As discovered by GamesRadar+, one of these is a recruitable child. Morgana explains it best, but basically, if you follow these steps, you can trick the game into making various child NPCs your permanent companions.
This is by no means the way Larian intended for us to play the game, but CEO Swen Vincke has approved of it. “Hats off to Morgana Evelyn,” he wrote. “You should have been there once. [of] “Panels from hell.”
Morgana used slightly different methods to recruit Arabella at the start of her run, which appears to have included playing as The Dark Urge and tricking her into committing suicide. You can then use the Animation Spore ability obtained by recruiting Glut to resurrect her, then use another leverage to keep her around forever. Yeah, it shouldn't surprise anyone, you should really You have to throw everything and the kitchen sink at the game to make this run work.
The Baldur's Gate 3 community is full of tough challenges like this. Few people actually make it past Honor Mode, but many make it at level 1. how?
