Other than that, not much is known about him, including his Devil Fruit abilities, bounty, or early life. Thankfully, God Valley gave us great insight into that part of his life. Fans are among the corrupt marines Dragon was the only one who truly wanted to help the slaves and children of God Valley..
Unfortunately, this selflessness and humanity got him into trouble with the Marines and world governments, and he paid the price. After the events of God Valley, Monkey D. Dragon is incarcerated. He was imprisoned in an underground detention facility at Marine Corps Headquarters on charges of insubordination.
But thankfully for Dragon He was soon released by his father, Monkey D. Garp.. After being released, Dragon will continue to leave the Marine Corps.
Monkey D. Dragon's experience in God Valley changed him
Monkey D. Dragon was a completely changed man after witnessing what happened in God Valley.. The World Government and the Marine Corps were not good people. World governments were hunting slaves and harming innocent people and children.
One Piece: Oda Gives a Big Hint About Immu's Son's Identity
Imu may have a son, and his identity was heavily hinted at in One Piece.
Monkey D. Dragon even saw a dying mother asking him to protect her children, and the whole thing definitely affected him. Moreover, being sent to prison for doing the right thing helped turn him away from the Navy.
After this incident, Dragon's relationship with Garp and the Marines broke down, and he went on to create a world where true justice and equality existed.

Exactly what Dragon did after the God Valley incident is unknown. However, it's fair to assume that not long after leaving the Marine Corps, he started a resistance group popularly known by fans as the Freedom Fighters, working against the world's governments. In the One Piece story 22 years ago, he was still a Freedom Fighter, as seen through Vegapunk flashbacks.

The Freedom Fighters were the group that gave birth to Dragon's current organization, the Revolutionary Army. The exact year of its establishment is unclear, but it was about 21 years ago after Dragon met Kuma.
Revolutionary forces are the greatest threat currently facing the world government.. Recently, he led the attack on Mariejoa to rescue Kuma.
Fans can't wait to see The true potential of the Dragon and the Revolutionary Army to one piece. With Marijoa already under attack and Dragon likely at the center of everything, it's only a matter of time before Oda shifts his focus to them once again.
