Pokemon Legends: ZA The Mega Dimension DLC has been out for a month now, having been released in just three weeks. The game includes a total of 26 new Mega Evolutions, but only a few will be available to obtain and use initially, with the fastest being Mega Absol and select starters. The Newest Mega Evolution Pokemon Legends: ZA You're stuck behind story progression, post-game content, or farming lots of money and mega shards, and are essentially time-limited. This is especially true for the Mega Evolution of the 6th generation starter. That's because they were shelved one at a time as online play rewards, along with Season 1's Greninjite, Season 2's Delphoxite, and Season 3's Chesnaughtite.
This is especially bad for Delphox and Chesnaught, as Mega Greninja was released at launch, while Mega Delphox debuted 10 days ago, and Mega Chesnaught won't be out for another few weeks. Considering that Mega Chessnaught was arguably the worst Gen 6 starter Pokémon when the game first came out, Pokemon Legends: ZA It's actually a secret weapon to wield in battle. There are several reasons for this.
- Pokemon Legends: ZAXerneas dominates the online battles alongside Charizard, Delphox, Garchomp, Gyarados, Metagross, and other beasts. Mega Chesnaught has incredible defensive abilities that allow it to take Xerneas' attacks very well, and it further strengthens itself with moves like Iron Defense and Swords Dance.
-
Mega Chestnut has a whopping Attack of 137, Defense of 172, and Sp of 115. Defense means it can still be a walking bastion that deals a lot of damage. Despite its weakness to Fire and Fairy, Chesnaught has access to some amazing coverage moves:
- rock slide – Charizard and Mega Charizard Y can be KOed in 1 hit.
- earthquake – Steel-type Pokémon and Fire-type Pokémon, such as Metagross and Excadrill, are good to deal with.
- destruction – Not only is it an incredible tool against steel and fire monsters, but it's also useful for closing the gap.
- poison jab/iron head – Potentially lethal against Xerneas due to its high EV and IV when attacking.
- wooden hammer/close combat – STAB moves with a base power of 120.
- dragon claw – Good for dealing with dragon-type Pokemon. Pokemon Legends: ZA
- Thunder Punch – Great for defeating flying critters that can deal 4x damage to Chesnaught, and will likely one-hit non-Mega-Evolved Gyarados.
-
Chesnaught has access to Curse. This means you can increase your attack and defense at the same time by reducing your speed.
-
Brick Break can significantly reduce the amount of damage received by removing light screens and reflections from opposing monsters.
-
Speed is a weak stat in Mega Chessnote, but you don't necessarily need it to be successful in online battles. Pokemon Legends: ZAThis is because it reduces cooldown rather than determining turn order.
Compared to regular chess notes, Mega Evolution gains 30 attack power, 50 defense power, and 40 Sp. Defense decreases by 20. Seeing as speed isn't a required stat at all in the game, losing 20 points in speed for extra defense is a big trade-off. Especially considering that this makes the Mega Chesnaught one of the most resilient animals in the entire game. Since the special defense is already very high, it makes sense to use Curse in Mega Chesnaught like most games. Pokemon Legends: ZA's best teams are like that.
Pokemon Legends: ZA has finally taken full control of Chessnot.
However, it's equally possible to skip Curse and Swords Dance and just use 4 attack moves (perhaps 2 STAB moves and 2 cover moves). This requires more fine-tuned EVs, such as points in defense or special defense, a fair amount in attack, and the rest is HP. Either way, Mega Chesnaught has a lot of ideal setups and can make you a real ace in ranked battles.
This shows an interesting trend because Chesnaught is better in the game because speed has less of an impact, while Aegislash is worse in the game. Pokemon Legends: ZA This is because real-time combat requires long animations to change posture. It's unclear what role the Mega Chesnaught will play, but it's probably one of the best animals out there and it's coming soon.
