The new campaign Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 It takes the familiar over-the-top action formula and adds a few new elements to keep the experience fresh. Along with campaign co-op and a new endgame experience, Black Ops 7 boasts multiple boss battles across 11 missions.
One of them is The Nightmare, a giant plant that spews poisonous gases, launches projectile attacks, and commands hordes of zombies. If you're primarily a Call of Duty player, you might not be used to facing bosses like this. Here's everything you need to know to defeat the plants in Little Shop of Horrors.
How to overcome nightmares
Nightmares are giant plants that are either largely immune or take greatly reduced damage, depending on where they are stung. Once the fight begins, focus your fire on the different little buds scattered around the stem. These look identical to the ones we've been blowing up throughout this mission, and will cause significant damage when destroyed.
While doing this, The Nightmare will launch two types of attacks. The first is Poison Breath, which deals high damage and knockback. Hang around cover that is higher than the players and then get behind the poison cloud as it approaches. The second attack is to fire a slow-moving spherical projectile that tracks you. Run away from them or shoot these projectiles before they hit.
Sniper rifles, DMRs, and long-range assault rifles are ideal for this fight as you will need to keep your distance from The Nightmare during the fight.
Once all the florets are destroyed, The Nightmare becomes immune and summons swarms of zombies and mutant spiders. Fight them and force them out of The Nightmare's immunity phase. And then another small flower blooms on top of it. Now repeat the same process Destroy all the little flowers until they disappear. The only problem is that now zombies continue to spawn throughout the fight. Therefore, you should always keep moving to avoid zombies surrounding you.
Once the Nightmare reaches 1/3 health, its stems will no longer bloom. Instead, the boss' main flower, the larger flower, begins to glow orange whenever it attacks. This is the new weakness
points. Pick a side, wait for the boss to start attacking, and then shoot its glowing orange “mouth” to deal extra damage to The Nightmare. You have to watch the zombies carefully. Because this is the trickiest part. Because you have to balance shooting, dodging attacks, and other enemies running around.
The Grenade Launcher ability is excellent in this section as it allows you to launch a nuclear bomb at a giant bud.
If one of the giant flowers takes enough damage, it will wilt and no longer glow orange. This is your signal to move to the next level and start attacking. Once all three giant flowers have withered, the boss will be defeated and thrown into a cutscene. congratulations. You've defeated the most annoying boss in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
