The Cobalt Slingshot is only available in Rare (blue) and functions much like a bow, requiring players to press the aim button to charge up a shot and use the dropoff to aim and fire a ranged projectile. Like durability, damage is the same regardless of weapon charge. The Cobalt Slingshot does not require ammo. Instead, the player will have 100% durability, and will lose approximately 4-6% durability when firing the weapon. The arc of the projectile radius is similar to that of a grenade or bow. That means you have to be pretty accurate to land a direct hit that deals 15 damage. Anyone taking generous radiation damage takes 50 damage, plus an additional 10 damage for every second the radiation cloud remains for a total of 4 seconds.
For those of you asking if the cobalt slingshot is any good fortniteThe answer is simply no. The Cobalt Slingshot isn't very accurate, and adding splash damage to a direct hit only means 65 damage, while the other weapons are much more accurate, have a faster rate of fire, and offer good DPS, so this weapon is a cute gimmick, but a gimmick nonetheless.
There is a Mythic Cobalt Slingshot variant that has not yet been released in the game.
