Tomb Raider fans can't believe how badass the remastered collector's edition Lara Croft figure is

The Tomb Raider franchise has been dormant for quite some time. Aside from the Amazon show starring Sophie Turner that's been in the works forever, I don't think we'll be seeing Lara Croft any time soon. Perhaps that's why so many fans want to get their hands on the 1-3 remastered collector's edition of Limited Run.

This large-scale physical edition includes the steelbooks of the first three games, a replica of Lara's iconic pistol, a soundtrack collection, an atlas, select posters and trading cards, and Lara's classic polygonal avatar doll from the first three games. Unfortunately, those numbers look pretty cursed.

The Tomb Raider Remastered Collector's Edition figure looks terrible.

Lara Croft from the original Tomb Raider looks at the structure.

It's clear what the manufacturer was trying to do. It's a throwback to when Lara was a polygon, like in the first three games. Unfortunately, that look doesn't seem to translate well to action figure form. The facial features look very strange, and some fans on Twitter are calling it 'Temu Raider' (thanks VideoGamer). Others called out Limited Run, saying the numbers were nothing like what they advertised.

It's not just the unpleasant face that's problematic, the figure itself doesn't look very well made. Fans have pointed out that the joints look very weak and the finish is poor. Supposed to be an exact replica of Lara's in-game avatar, it looks like a nightmarish version of the beloved character.

A close-up of the ankle in one of the pictures shows a joint that can come loose almost immediately. Additionally, the figures look as if they are made of paper.

Those who bought the collector's edition not only had to pay $199, but also had to wait over a year to get it. Imagine their shock when they found out they had spent money and waited too long to be welcomed by this cursed version of Lara. I don't think I can do anything about this right now since the bundle is already shipping. Perhaps if the final version of the figure had been released earlier, the creators would have started from scratch.
