Don't fall for the Fallout 76 Atomic Shop scam like I did.

As someone who recently returned fallout 76 Now, six years later, I can confidently say that I'm having a great time with the multiplayer title. Sure, there are some annoying issues like the PlayStation version's constant crashing and typical Bethesda RPG stutter, but they weren't enough to take the fun out of the game. I've had a blast exploring the world listening to Appalachian Radio, had some great interactions with the community, and been thinking about how I could build the CAMP of my dreams with all the junk I've collected. With such a positive mind fallout 76 In my experience, I wanted to spend a little money at the Atomic Shop to show my support for the game, but unfortunately one of the things I bought, the spacesuit costume, felt like a big mistake. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who feels this way, as other players have fallen victim to this incomplete package.

What's wrong with Fallout 76's Atomic Shop spacesuit?

The big problem is fallout 76's spacesuit is simple. There's no helmet, which is the coolest part of the ensemble. When I purchased this pack, I figured I wouldn't just be getting an orange bodysuit covered in patches. But when I got to the armor bench, I was confused to find that there were only plans for the suit itself. No matter how hard I looked at the hat and helmet blueprints, the other parts of the costume I expected to be accessible were nowhere to be found. This left me confused until I searched online and found several Reddit threads where people were talking about the exact same issue. for whatever reason or other fallout 76 It turns out that the 400-Atomic pack doesn't include the helmet, either due to an Atomic Shop bug (also had issues with Old Glory Fireplace) or human error adding the item.

Considering I also bought a 700-Atomic Space Explorer backpack to go full astronaut vibes, I ended up using a total of 1100 Atoms for the costume, which I didn't have in mind. I don't want to use it until the helmet appears in the store or I find it in the game world.

If this were me and other Vault Dwellers who hadn't read what was in the Atomic Shop package, I wouldn't be so upset. However, there is no mention that this particular bundle does not include a helmet. Although the description simply says “Shoot for the stars and survive,” all of the photos, including the spacesuit thumbnail, feature the character wearing a spacesuit and helmet. I couldn't help but feel like I'd been scammed after making the purchase, as the two large images and the small thumbnail both implied that I would receive a helmet if I purchased the spacesuit. Despite all the crashes, trading glitches, and instances of my character getting stuck in the environment, this misleading cosmetic pack has left me truly disappointed for the first time since I returned. fallout 76.

Have you already purchased a spacesuit for Fallout 76? There are two options

We hope this article reaches players before purchasing the spacesuit, but for those who have already made the mistake of purchasing this item, several options are available. The first is to contact Bethesda support for a refund. This is very simple and usually sees players get their Atoms back very quickly. But for players who don't want to give up this costume, there's another option: finding a spacesuit helmet in the open world. Sure, it looks a little different and isn't exactly what Atomic Shop promised (the premium version has a larger visor), but it's a way for players to salvage the costume if they don't want a refund.

Spacesuit helmets can be found at: fallout 76 location:

  • Sons of Dane Compound

  • The top floor of Valley Galleria, where Quantum Bear riding a rocket is lying down.

  • Locker in Crater Communications Area

  • Weapon bench roof north of Morgantown Responders Outpost

  • Two spacesuit helmets have the potential to spawn at Whitespring Resort near the firepit.

  • It's on the shelf next to my Charleston hair salon.

  • Next to the Berkley Springs Pharmacy terminal.

What's particularly disappointing about this whole Atomic Shop fiasco is that the spacesuit appeared to come with a helmet when it first appeared in Atomic Shop five years ago. This may add weight to the theory that the item has a bug, so perhaps a fix will be made soon. At the same time, the existing bundle price was 800, implying that the spacesuit should actually exist on its own, and the confusion stems purely from the images used. If so, space suit helmets may soon appear in stores as a separate purchase.

Regardless, I'm very disappointed that I won't be able to fit my fiancée into her Nuka Cola Girl spacesuit (yes, this suit really has a helmet) for the time being. Next time you play, you might want to take a break from clearing the Ash Heap to find one of the helmets in the above location. But I don't think you can tell that it doesn't match my outfit perfectly. In the future I will definitely be a little more careful about what I buy from the Atomic Shop, and will only buy bundles where all the content is detailed, and I'm confident I'll get exactly what's advertised.
