It might annoy some of you, but most Pokémon trainers seem to agree that shiny amulets should be items that take a lot of time and effort to acquire.

To unlock the Shiny Amulet in Pokemon Legends: ZA, you must reach level 50 in Mabel's Research, which is the highest level available. This means completing everything Mabel has to offer, including winning 1,000 Pokémon battles and completing ZA's Pokedex. Some people complained that the requirements were too high, while others pointed out that with the game being released just four days ago, there would be tasks that most people wouldn't be able to complete in just one weekend.

Legendary: ZA player who goes by DeathNirvana on Reddit highlighted what it takes to unlock Shiny Charm on the game's subreddit. They noted that even after completing the game, including post-game content, there were only 420 battles won, so there was still a long way to go before unlocking the Shiny Charm. “I had a pretty good time with ZA, but I got really discouraged when I found out about this hard work,” their post read.

This led to a flurry of responses pointing out that, as mentioned above, Pokemon Legends: ZA has only been out for 4 days (3 days at the time of the Reddit post). No, it's not a live service game that people will be playing for months or years to come, but getting to the frustrating point of not being able to unlock the game's most popular items in just three days is a complaint that won't sit well with most Pokémon fans.

If anything, the fact that players can't get the shiny amulet after three days is proof that Game Freak did something right. Even those who experienced a lifeless ZA in the first weekend still have a reason to play. Sure, for most people it'll be 500+ pointless Pokémon battles, but you might want to consider that before rushing out to see everything else the game has to offer.

Of course, these players' ultimate need is to make shiny Pokémon easier to find and catch. This is exactly what Shiny Charm offers. But in Legends: ZA, shiny Pokémon are easier to catch than ever. Not only do shiny Pokémon seem to appear more often, players quickly discovered that they don't disappear unless players engage with them.
