D & D player's preparation tips

As a Dungeons & Dragons player, the character sheet is the most important item except dice. It is a place with all functions and abilities, so I do not forget the features that the character can do.

In other words, there are more things you can prepare for a smoother experience in the game. It is not necessary, but you can prepare yourself in advance to save a lot of problems in the future, and you can prevent the game from being interrupted because you forget important things about characters or settings.

Campaign

If you don't have it yet, you can have or make them

Perhaps you have great memories but how much can you rely on? Especially if the campaign is heavy and a lot of roll playing, there are many important details and people. Note can help a lot in this case.

If the game is going too much, it's important to keep the character forgetting anything. Some campaigns can have a long period of time between sessions, which can make memories more difficult, so it's best to prepare.

Mission

It is always good to have a list of things to do.

Through the coastal wizard

It is also important to point out where you were, and to point out where you are going. If you have a single simple goal in the campaign or once again, you may not need to be unnecessary. But if you have a lot to do, you can use notifications.

It is recommended to track the goal with the promised rewards between the main quest, selective goal, and the individual mission of your or other PCs. Some NPCs are incomprehensible.

Character notes

From NPC to PC

Fortunately, the character sheet has a space for many things, such as writing allies. Unfortunately, there is not much space. Especially if you have a lot of characters to add or want to write a lot of people, there is no space. This is not the only time we deal with what the sheet provides normally, but it does not provide much space.

As you know, certain sessions of certain memos dedicated to allies can help. You can include a fellow PC and track your goals, so you are ready to help each time you need it.

Auxiliary stat block

From summoning to deformation

Katerina Ladon's art

If you are a druid that turns into many other animals, a familiar spell caster, or if you can summon creatures to help combat, you must be ready to use every time this stat block comes.

This feature is the most used feature that allows you to write and prepare fast notes for all conversion/summons on a single seat. Alternatively, you are ready for everything during the campaign to create a copy.

tracker

Only clean seats will work

Dungeons & Dragon's 2024 Player Handbook's Dwarf Fighter.

Nestor Ossandon Leal Fighter

The character sheet has a section to track health and spell slots, but not much. How many Bardick inspiration have you? Or superior dice? Did you use all the magic points?

You can have a separate sheet that tracks all functions (or objects representing resources) and can be separated by a recovery method. Perhaps it's a section for a short break and a section that comes back for a long time. It would be good to track the conditions, buffs and debuffs.

If you use a note on your phone to work better, you can track things quickly.

Order explanation

Just listing them may not be enough

The wizards with brilliant eyes, mysterious staff and gray hair are floating in the dungeon & dragon.

Billy Christian's academic magical user

The character sheet is dedicated to the order, so you can list all of them listed, separate them by level, and then track the order slot. Still, there is no space for explanation.

It is convenient to have a description of the order ready to use every time an order comes. Alternatively, there may be a short explanation that provides all the information you need to use without checking the book at any time to cast an order. You will eventually memorize them.

Function notification

Especially if there are many people

The wizard with white hair and red cloak casts complex spells in the DND.

Wisnu tan sorcerer delina

Order is the most complex feature, but not the only feature. Sometimes, we add too much to the main character's sheet, so that some of your abilities lose the way there in all the text you wrote.

The space provided by the default sheet is enough to maintain all the functions, but the number that needs to be tracked depending on the class (or class) can be a good idea.

If you are good at configuration, function notification sheets and tracker sheets can be the same paper.

Equipment notification

Especially in the case of magic

A long sword with a rocky rock and a huge blade.

Blackrazor from Dungeon Master's Guide (2014) through Wizard 'S of the Coast.

There is no big section for the default sheet. It's enough to list simple things, but it may be a lot of magic equipment with its own function.

Therefore, if the DM is very generous by dividing the magic items, the quick explanation of what they do and the charging will help the tracker during the adventure.

dice

We said they were important

Montage shows other dice roll results with important success, regular success and critical failure in Dungeons & Dragons (DND).

John Grello's art

Okay, everyone knows that this game needs a dice to work. These, your character sheet, and the rules are literally an essential element of D & D. DM is likely to have its own dice set, and a single set is enough to play games.

Nevertheless, multiple sets of dice make the experience much better. Each player with his D20 is much smoother, and some orders require repeated D6, D8 or other orders. Therefore, we recommend that we buy their sets (or 2, 3 or 10) in their own appearance.

snack

Because everything is not the responsibility of DM

A brilliant feast on the table of the DND.

If you play online (although snacks are good while playing), it's a good thing to get a snack to share with your friends during the game.

Playing on an empty stomach is not the best feeling, and it doesn't hurt if everyone helps. Do not buy people's fingers to make greasy.
