DOOM: Dark Ages is the latest game among the long games that are basically download code for actual games. Less than GB of game content is actually included in the disk. Therefore, in order to play Dark Ages of PS5 or Xbox, players who choose the actual edition still need to download most games.
At the baseline, this is really unpleasant and uncomfortable. It's hard as hard as you believe, but some people don't have Wi-Fi. They are partially purchased, so you can still play games without a good internet. When I first started as a freelancer in the game media, I rarely made money and Wi-Fi was one of my wife and I had to make. I was able to access other buildings that could download the game and play online, but I had to carry PS4. If you bought a game from the disc and popped out of the console, it would have been annoying to realize that the game was not in the disk.
This is why this has not been in the Hitman series until it is released in 2021. I owned a real copy of 2, but the “Always Online” design, which is an interruption of the game, meant that you can get XP and unlock new items when there is a Wi-Fi connection.
This is not the first time.
We saw this happened before. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a very recent example, and before that, Hogwarts Legacy, Halo Infinite and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have been selected with similar switch powder, and MW2 did not contain games on the disk. It is very misleading, and it will deal with some annoying care when many players wait until the game is downloaded, but other players can't play at all after purchasing the game.
Not only is it a disappointing obstacle to players, but also a nightmare for game preservation. Doom: If you want to play Dark Age from age 15, you won't be able to do it. You can access Xbox Series X, a copy of the game, but you're not lucky if your online infrastructure is no longer in place. You can't play the game you paid.

This unstoppable murder machine is more than meeting the eyes of Doom: The Dark Ages.
This is already a matter of digital game. When Wii U and 3DS shops were down, hundreds of games for downloads went together. There are many PC games that cannot be used for many years. If you have a long longer iPhone or Android, you are likely to have a game that has not been updated by the latest phone. Digital games can be removed from stores of rights issues, as previously occurred in Alan Wake and Alpha protocols.
For online multiplayer games such as Fortnite, understand the Just-Sell-A-Box approach. Anyway, the game can't be played when it's offline, so selling a real version is just a way to show that the player likes the game. In the digital age, this is part of the charm of physical media. The practical purpose is more important in the big picture, but I already know that I like it, so I own an album in Vinyl, and I want to support more artists than huge streaming payments while getting something practical in the process.
But it's not a physical media only Interesting things to own. If you like works of art, you can continue to enjoy the actual media regardless of what happens in the ownership of corporate ownership. Recently cut Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. This is why most of the original content of Netflix's original content, such as reverend, is terrible for the future of media research. If you like Doom: The Dark Ages, you would be angry that the ability to play it was related to the continuous online infrastructure of PlayStation and Xbox. If you have purchased it, you must be able to play it. The end of the story.
