It felt almost pointless to introduce him if he was just going to side with Tomura, and he didn't even get a worthy ending to his arc. Re-Destro felt like an underused token character written into the story out of obligation, and it's a real shame. Fans kept waiting for a big, meaningful moment in Re-Destro, but it never happened.

Other fans made up their minds differently about Bakugo, refusing to forgive him for being a petty bully who antagonized everyone around him, especially Deku. Bakugo was more than a fierce rival or a hothead, he ignored others whenever he had the chance and made everything his own.
