6 villains whose writing is better than their pain, rankings

In the world narutoPain stands as one of the best villains in the story. Pain was the nickname of Uzumaki Nagato, known as the leader of Akatsuki. After Yahiko's death, he founded the Six Paths of Pain and led the organization from the shadows. Pain was incredibly powerful considering he had access to the power of Rennegan and had enough power to easily destroy the nation. What made him particularly compelling was his ideals and the fact that he, too, was pursuing true peace in his own way. Payne has been one of Kishimoto's best-written villains, but there are quite a few other villains that not only rival him, but actually surpass him.

Itachi Uchiha Appeared as a villain for most of the Naruto series, and during this short period of time, he was one of the most surprising enemies Sasuke had ever faced. Itachi was the pinnacle of pure evil when he was first introduced. It is revealed that he massacred his entire clan in one night on a whim to further strengthen his power. He tortured Sasuke and dragged him to the point where revenge was the only thing he sought in life.

Moreover, Itachi showed off his strength against powerful ninjas such as Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai, making him even more threatening. The fact that he was able to take down Orochimaru without even seeing him meant that he had god-level powers to compete with in the story. In terms of power, the evil aura he exudes, and the charisma he possesses, Itachi was a much better villain than Pain. Of course, it was later revealed that Itachi was a good guy, which further elevated his character. It's unfortunate that Itachi was left out of the story early on because he had so much potential.

Obito Uchiha

Obito Villain Better Written Pain Naruto

Obito Uchiha is probably the best written villain in the entire Naruto series. Much of that is due to the fact that Kishimoto wrote him as a kind boy. Despite being an Uchiha, Obito was completely unaffected by the Curse of Hatred, but Madara's manipulations during the Third Ninja War led him astray and destroyed his future. Obito was eventually captured by his demons and began working towards the Eye of the Moon Plan, which eventually led to the Fourth Ninja War.

Obito's personality is much more tragic than Payne's, and he sought peace in his own way. Obito, who was once identical to Naruto Uzumaki and is the mastermind behind most of the series' tragedies, makes his story all the more painful. It especially stands out as one of the best villain stories in the entire series.

Although not a true villain, sasuke For most of the latter part of the story, he stands as an antagonist and commits an irreversible act of terrorism. This makes him a unique villain that fans want to see return to Konoha, but at the same time punished for everything he's done. Sasuke's fall into evil was somewhat similar to Obito Uchiha, only in his case it was due to everything his older brother had done to him.

When Sasuke became evil, he did not hesitate to kill people like Kakashi and Sakura. It was the Hokage who eventually brought him back on the right path, but even then he wanted to execute all the Tailed Beasts and the Five Keiji along with them, so he stood in the way of Naruto Uzumaki one last time and served as the final antagonist of the series. Given the importance of his character, it goes without saying that Sasuke is the most powerful antagonist in the series.
