5 Coworkers More Annoying Than You Remember

text pokemon Anime is loved for many reasons, one factor being the cast. Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu are some of anime's most iconic heroes, and they meet all kinds of trainers along their journey. Trainer or not, many of these people will also travel with Ash and become lifelong friends.

However, whether they were around for most of the season or only traveled with Ash for a short while, there were some traveling companions who weren't as loved as other characters. In fact, these characters are good-natured, but can often be irritating. Some of these characters lose these annoying stripes. But unfortunately, that isn't always the case.

Brock's Sudowoodo can become obsessed like Bonsly.

The rock type became much calmer after evolution.

Bonesley, a baby Pokémon introduced in Generation 4, is not actually a Grass type. The Bonsai Pokémon is a mischievous rock-type with a plant-like appearance. But if you try to pour water on this “tree”, the tree will run away. When evolved, Bonsly transforms into Sudowoodo, a copycat Pokémon. Sudoudo does not like fighting, so he tries to look as tree-like as possible to avoid fighting.

In the Kanto region, Brock found Bonsley alone, crying from hunger and with no one to care for him. Brock thus assumed the role of Bonsly's caretaker and was also his only companion upon his arrival in Sinnoh. Bonsly was very needy as a baby and cried often, but his clingy behavior could be stressful at times. Thankfully, as Rock-type evolved, he became much more comfortable and even acted like the older brother of Brock's Happiness.

Many fans criticize Chloe's overall lack of character development.

Chloe started to gain confidence thanks to Eevee.

Chloe from Pokemon Journey is looking at her pink Rotom phone.

Like Serena and May, Chloe is presented as someone who is unsure of what she wants to do with her life. However, unlike her predecessors, Chloe initially tried to only have a realistic mindset, which gave her the impression of being cold or even callous. It was also revealed that in the past, Chloe did not like Pokemon very much. In fact, Chloe was unkind to her family's Yamper when he was first adopted, but after the dog Pokémon ran away, Chloe came to regret this behavior.

Chloe is starting to come out of her shell for good thanks to Eevee, which baffles Pokémon researchers because she won't evolve. With her partner Pokémon, Eevee, Chloe was able to become a true trainer and even began her career as a Pokémon Performer. Overall, Chloe received mixed reviews from fans, many of whom were annoyed that she received little character development. At the beginning of her debut, Chloe's personality was somewhat stuffy, but later she became much more relaxed and friendly.

Max may know it all.

May's older brother often criticizes the trainer even though he is not a trainer.

Unlike his younger sister, who once felt tremendous pressure from others to become a trainer like their father, Max dreams of one day starting his journey as a trainer. To prepare for the day when he is old enough to become a trainer, Max spends a lot of time reading everything he can find about Pokémon. Being good by the books, Max knows a lot about Pokémon and battle tactics, but only in theory, not through actual practice. Thanks to May, who looks after him in his parents' stead during his adventures, he gets the opportunity to learn more about Pokémon.

Max is a good-hearted boy, but unfortunately he can be snobbish about what he learns. In fact, he will criticize Ash for his choices during battle, even though Max has not yet become a trainer. Despite this behavior, Max truly respects Ash and is one of his sister's biggest supporters. Brock acted as a mentor of sorts to Max, teaching him more about real-world experiences with Pokémon.

Barry always rushes into everything.

This rival character is legendary for his impatience

in pokemon diamond, pokemon pearland pokemon platinumThe player character is quickly introduced to the loud boy next door who dreams of becoming a trainer. The boy is Barry, the player character's future rival, who is often noted by non-player characters as being impatient and unable to sit still. One of Barry's famous sayings is that if someone arrives at their next destination later than he does, he will “fine them.” One of the reasons he wants to become a trainer so much is because of his father, Palmer, one of Sinnoh's Frontier Brains.

As seen in the animation, Barry retains the same personality as in the games, but is somehow much more hyperactive. The energetic young trainer is not only one of Ash's rivals in the Sinnoh region, but also a minor traveling companion who is only seen briefly. However, Barry's animated counterpart is much more impatient, short-tempered, and easily angered by the smallest of things. His behavior is so strange that his partner Pokémon, Empoleon, often appears perplexed by his trainer.

Go doesn't consider the importance of being friends with Pokemon

Trainer who cares more about catching than actual training

It is often considered a defining characteristic by both fans and critics. Pokemon GOHe serves as the second protagonist of Pokémon Trainer Goga. Pokemon Journey: Series. While Ash dreams of becoming a Pokémon Master, Goh's dreams focus more on the Pokémon he can catch rather than his experience as a battler. In fact, Mr. Go's dream is to catch every Pokémon known to the world. In addition to completing the National Pokédex, his big dream is to catch the mythical Pokémon Mew and make it his partner Pokémon.

Completing the National Pokédex is an amazing goal, but Goh ignores the importance of becoming better friends with the Pokémon he catches. In fact, in the beginning, he was so stubborn about catching Mew first that he offended Scorbunny, who wanted to be his first partner Pokémon. Goh later agreed to do so, but Cinderace, along with the other two Pokémon, would be the only members of his large roster that Goh took the time to get to know. In comparison, Ash did not focus on completing his Pokédex, but instead took the time to get to know every Pokémon he caught, earning the trainer respect from fans and other characters alike.
